Curling Champion Imported Fake Viagra Pills

On April 7th of 2010, US Customs officials intercepted a package from China contained allegedly counterfeit Viagra and Cialis. The officials allowed the package to continue to it’s destination in Blaine, Washington.

According to a U.S. Federal Court Complaint, On April 15th, 2010, Jim Armstrong was taken into custody after picking up the counterfeit drugs at a U.S. postal outlet. He was arrested as he was leaving the post office. The post office box was in his wife’s name, Carleen Armstrong, who died of breast cancer in September of 2009.

Canadian Jim Armstrong, 59, retired dentist, and the skip of Canada’s gold medal winning Paralympics curling team has be allegedly charged with trafficking thousand’s of these fake pills.

Armstrong, from Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, told the arresting officer that he was picking up the fake drugs for his son who purchased them to sell at Vancouver area night clubs, so the complaint reads.

20,000 Bond
Armstrong was released on a $20,000 bond from custody after being charged with trafficking in counterfeit drugs, and will be making an appearance in U.S. District Court April 30th.

Viagra and Cialis are wildly successful prescription drugs for men suffering from erectile dysfunction, an industry that’s reportedly worth billions. Medication such as these should only be taken under the supervision of a doctor.
