man thumbs up in jacketPlacebos have been known to be successful in men with ED

Obecalp has been successful in about 30% of the men who take it for erectile dysfunction. Actually, obecalp has been successful in treating 30% of the people who take it for any ailment that can be caused by psychological stresses. You see obecapl is actually a placebo, it’s actually placebo spelled backwards.

Placebo’s have their place in any kind of drug study as test subjects have no idea whether they are received the placebo or the actual study drug.

Many conditions in life can be psychological as well. Let’s focus on ED (erectile dysfunction). These days we are flooded with ads on ED, in print, on TV, on the Internet, it’s everywhere. Viagra and Cialis seems to be the new miracle drug. And because the symptoms cover many aspects, most men can be convinced they have ED.

So for those people who “think” they may have the disorder a placebo may help them. It’s always best to check with your doctor, and many doctors think it’s unethical to prescribe placebos.

There are several other ways to deal with ED other than drugs. Sex therapist’s have a very high success rate. Some other fixes that are drug and cost free are the following:

1.    Nicotine can restrict blood flow to the genitals, stopping smoking can help with ED and overall health.
2.    Medications. Many medications or a combination of meds could likely cause a problem, talk to you pharmacist.
3.    One depressant that affects millions of people is alcohol. Cut back as it can impair sexual functioning.
4.    Watch what you eat and shape up. Eliminate fatty foods and replace them with fruits and vegetables. Sex is exercise, just like sports. If you’re out of shape you won’t be good for either.
5.    Stress, anxiety, depression. All not very good for anything in life. Practice relaxation techniques, breathing exercises, meditation, and get at least 7 hours of sleep each night.
6.    Stop worrying about performance and age. Movies, TV, and media make sex look impossible for the average couple, but it’s all made up. Look at reports that focus on real life sexual experiences between couples, it will relax you to see your “normal”.

There are supplements that can help as well:

1.    Asian Ginseng: A sexual energizer. This will take two months or so to show signs of it working. Be careful with doses, it’s been known to raise blood pressure and cause insomnia and irritability in some people.
2.    Ginkgo: This is a natural herb that can cause arousal in men and women.
3.    Ashwaganda: Another sexual energizer like ginseng. Read the labels and follow the dosage recommendations. Allow some time for this one to take affect as well.
