Levitra – Because Viagra is not the only cure for ED
Patient dependence on Viagra as the sole savior for treating ED is gradually diminishing since many alternative therapies have now made their mark in the market. ED patients today have a wide choice of therapies to get out of the dark days when they could either not get or could not preserve an erection, despite the best kind of sexual arousal.
Erectile dysfunction or ED as described have been at the root of many relationships breaking and have caused tremendous mental trauma to those who were the unfortunate victims of this ailment. Then came Viagra in the '90s and brought men new hope. As the product started to the world by storm, many equally effective and safe products hit the market – Levitra being one of them. Many consider it to be a better drug than Viagra. Levitra belongs to a group of drugs which are called PDE-5 inhibitors. While this term may sound Greek to you but you need to know that this group of drugs are know to heighten sexual pleasure in more number of ways than just increasing blood flow to the penile area. Though enhanced blood flow to the penis is one of the prime criteria for erection, Levitra does more. It is worthwhile to know that erectile dysfunction occurs when the man can not sustain an erection long enough to complete the sexual act. Many times the man may find it difficult to get an erection in the first place. This type of condition can be a result of psychological factors like anxiety, stress and depression etc., it can also be caused by certain chronic conditions like diabetes, etc. Physical injuries in the penile area can also make a man impotent. The physical trauma usually stops the blood flow in the penis area and hence the inability to have an erection. Levitra has proved its efficacy in this area. This FDA approved drug is beyond question regarding its trustworthiness and reliability. Its action is assured provided it is consumed as per recommended directions of use and with the consent of a medical practitioner. Needless to mention that Levitra has been tried and tested in innumerable clinical trials and it has been seen that the drug has a positive effect on conditions like diabetes and prostate cancer as well. like any other drug meant to cure ED, Levitra also has its due side effects, which include headache, flushing and a runny nose, most of which lasts for a very short time. Though extremely uncommon, some dangerous side effects have also been reported in some patients and these include prolonged erection which lasts for several hours and color blindness. To be taken only once a day, Levitra's mode of action is simple: it helps in the relaxation of muscles and blood vessels of the penile area which causes erection. Usually one dose of Levitra should result in an erection which is long enough to sustain through the duration of the entire intercourse. |
