Atlas Operations Inc Expanding Previous 2009 Recall
Atlas Operations Inc. of Pompano Beach is yet again recalling some of its products. In December of 2009 Atlas Operations Inc. announced a recall of some of its “erectile dysfunction” medications as the FDA discovered ingredients in its products not listed on the label. This is a very serious issue for people who may be on other medications. Consumers may be unknowingly mixing drugs that could possibly harm them, or even result in death.
Although there has yet to be any reported deaths because of this, they are adding to the list of recalled products. Initially it was Stamin It, Vigor 100, and Erectzia. These products were laced with Sulfoaildfenafil, an ingredient approved by the FDA for treatment of erectile dysfunction. However this ingredient had not been approved for these Atlas Operations products thus creating a new drug which has NOT been approved for consumption by the FDA.
Atlas Operations Inc. says they did not intentionally or knowingly violate US law by distributing these products. Even so, they are now appearing in other products. By taking these unapproved drugs, men could in fact lower blood pressure to dangerous levels if mixed with other prescriptions. Many men who suffer from ED have other underlying issues that may be causing the erectile dysfunction. These underlying issues can be treated with medications that that will produce dangerous loss of blood pressure if mixed with the unapproved and unlisted ingredient in these Atlas Operations Inc. products.
