Herbal ED Treatments Said to Contain More
Health Canada (hc-sc.gc.ca) has issued a health warning urging Canadians against a number of products claiming to help with Erectile Dysfunction (ED). Some of these products include Stamin It, Depth Charge, Erexxx, Red Hot Sex, Amour for Him, Whatzup, Sexual Urge, Love Fuel, and Clymax. A complete list of products can be found at the Health Canada website.
All products in the warning are considered extremely harmful to those people taking nitrate drugs of any kind like nitroglycerine. Health Canada says it can cause life threatening low blood pressure.
These products claim to be “herbal remedies” such as those listed above for erectile dysfunction which could pose a huge risk to your health. Some of these side affects other than the low blood pressure listed could be heart attacks, strokes, chest pain, high blood pressure, abnormal vision and hearing loss, dizziness, indigestion, facial flushing, headache, and abnormal heart beat. Tadalafil is said to be in two products named STRO Emperor Capsules as well as 2H and 2D. These are described as traditional Chinese medicinal treatments, but also contain a prescription drug used to treat ED. After The Irish Medicines Board warned consumers in Ireland not to use STRO Emperor Capsules, Health Canada followed suit. A similar warning was released about 2H and 2D by The Hong Kong Department of Health, which again Canada followed suit. Health Canada also issued warnings about several dietary products sais to help with sexual enhancement manufactured by Atlas Operations Inc. of Pompano Beach, Florida. The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) found these supplements had undeclared sulfoaildenafil in them, a unauthorized substance very much like sildenafil which is a prescription drug used to treat ED. Although none of these mentioned products are authorized for sale in Canada, the products could still be purchased out of country by Canadians. None of the products have been illegally found in the Canadian marketplace. |
