Is Tadalfil Cialis?

Everywhere I look i always see tadalfil and cialis? Is it the same thing as Cialis or is it different? Sorry this might be a very stupid question but am just curious on what the difference is, could it be that one is generic and the other is just the normal Cialis?

It is the same thing, well cialis is the brand name and tadalafil is like the main component of cialis, but there is no generic cialis only brand name.
