Cat on a Hot Tin Roof: it's all about ED!

I saw Cat on a Hot Tin Roof today and I believe the whole story revolves around Brick's ED problem. Brick (Paul Newman) is still very much in love with Maggie (Elizabeth Taylor), so there's no other explanation for his erratic behavior.

ED is never mentioned, of course, but there are several clues:

a) Brick is severely depressed and avoids all physical contact with Maggie

b) Maggie says to him 'you were such a wonderful lover'

c) Maggie has been to the gynecologist and he told her there's nothing wrong with her

d) The shrewd mother in law says that all marital problems start in bed


Anyway, it's a great play. The writing of Tennessee Williams is brilliant.
