Internet uses and cost

The Internet changed my life completely - for the better, I believe. Here's what I use it for:

1 - Plan trips

I book flights and hotel rooms, buy theatre and train tickets and plan itineraries - everything online. It's safe, simple and very affordable. I cannot imagine travelling without Google Maps and Trip Advisor.


2 - Work

I'm a legal advisor and the Internet is an essential tool for my work.


3 - Discussion forums

Sharing information is another passion of mine.


4 - Buy stuff

There's A LOT of stuff you cannot find in conventional stores, e.g. meds and beauty products.


5 - Dates

The Internet is a great way to meet people.


6 - News

I still prefer the good old newspapers, though.


7 - Porn

I'm not too fond of porn, but I still watch some when I'm feeling bored.


8 - Download music

The price of music CDs is outrageous, so I don't buy them anymore. I don't download movies, though.


And for all this, I only pay 33 euros per month - I get unlimited access all day and bonus points for purchases in Vodafone stores. That's quite a bargain, I believe.

Facebook - all the cool kids are doing it :P
Work - Research.
Porn - on occasion.
Downloading music - Too cheap to buy CD's

Though I should use eHarmony or something, too.

I have 3 services from one company (phone, internet, TV) but I think internet is about $45/mo.
