Hello.

I've waited about 2 years, before writing to this forum.
I'm a mid-twenties guy, I have Type 1 diabetes, and I am from Ireland.
Currently, I am living and studying in Finland.

My ED problems started over 5 years ago, with my then long term girlfriend.
Could not maintain or sometimes get an erection.

I always had a degree of PE. Sometimes severe, sometimes not as bad.

In the last few years, I do not have any morning erections anymore.
And when I watch porn, unless I touch myself quite vigorously, I do not get an erection.

With women, it can be hit or miss. Usually I do get an erection, but I can lose it after a while, and certain positions are just too risky to undertake, in case I lose my erection.

For the last 4 or so years, I have seen about 7 urologists.
And, only on a hunch of mine, 4 months, ago, has any progress been made in this situation at all. By progress, I mean, a diagnosis.

I have tried Viagra, Cialis, Levitra.
All to varying success, and with less success as time went on.

Also, for the PE, I have tried Seroxat, an SSRI, at 20mg.
Varying success again.

So, to the diagnosis, based on my hunch, and then confirmed through an ultrasound device. I have venous leakage.

The doctor told me that there is an operation.
But that after a year, most patients go back to having ED problems again.
He said it is worth a try. I am naturally nervous about this.

Has anyone got any advice for me?
What is frustrating is that this urologist is hard to reach at the moment, holidays notwithstanding.

I am wondering about success rates for operations for venous leakage.
And if there are any alternatives at all.

Thank you for your time gents.
