    Default Pycnogenol

Today I started taking a pycnogenol supplement to improve my sexual health.

I was thinking of taking PRELOX but I changed my mind. PRELOX seems to be an excellent natural treatment and I've read great things about it, but it's too expensive (I would have to spend at least 40 euros every month!) and it seems to contain little L-arginine aspartate (only 700 mg per pill compared to the 5 g of my current supplement, called Asparten).

So, I've decided to take L-arginine aspartate and pycnogenol separately. This means I am now taking a total of four different products just to improve erections (Cialis, Vigamed, Asparten and Pycnogenol). It's a lot and it's expensive but I think it's worth it, they really work.

It's still too early to tell how effective pycnogenol really is but I'll post my impressions soon.

Here's a study about the benefits of combining L-arginine and pycnogenol:

Have never heard of pycnogenol but I have been reading that L-arginine is much better than horny goat weed in treating ED. Next time I am at the nature store I am going to pick up several bottles of L-arginine? Does anyone recommend a good natural brand?

I've been taking pycnogenol for two weeks now and haven't noticed any improvements.

    I'll keep you guys updated.

Here is another study I found talking about the benefits of pycnogenol:Elsevier - Patient Research Beta

You have to be patient and wait a couple of weeks before you start seeing any improvements.

Pycnogenol alone probably won't help you much, you should take it in combination with L-arginine aspartate. We've already talked about PRELOX, a natural supplement that contains both substances.

I started taking L-arginine aspartate (5g everyday) a couple of months ago and I didn't see any results at first. Adding pycnogenol to my regimen made all the difference in the world. It didn't just improve erections, it also improved my libido and general well-being.

That's fantastic news. Do you notice an improvement in spontaneity and rapidity of the erection forming? My problem is I am "slow to fill." I can get good erections, but they take a while to form, which is not normal for my age.

I also thought about doing L-arginine in combination, but I decided not to after I found the other study I linked to that found that pycnogenol alone could work. Also, I wanted to save money. Additionally, I've read conflicting data on L-arginine. Some studies have found it works, while others found that it did not. Have you bumped into these inconsistencies as well when doing your research?

This guy does a very detailed analysis of L-arginine and pycnogenol, and if you just hit ctrl+f and look for pycnogenol, the data seem to indicate the results improve big time every time pycnogenol was introduced (as you said happened to you).

So, I'll continue the pycnogenol alone for now to save the money, and if it doesn't work, I'll add some L-arginine.

How much longer should I expect to wait to see results? I've been doing 100 and 150 mg per day, alternating.

    Default Performance-Enhancing Effects for Sports

"A multitude of studies about Pycnogenol and sports nutrition have been conducted. Most recently, a year ago, Pycnogenol was demonstrated to improve blood circulation and support a lasting aerobic muscle activity during any kind of activity and enhance sports endurance by alleviating cramping and muscular pain in athletes. In short, Pycnogenol is effective for enhancing and prolonging muscle performance during sport, supports muscle adaptation to higher work-load and allows for faster physical recovery."

Reggie, I use Google Scholar. It really helps you sift out the BS on the internet by only searching trustworthy, scholarly sources.

My trick is, if I want to see if something works, I'll type "Pycnogenol erectile," for example, into Google Scholar, and I see what I can find.

Google Scholar doesn't find everything, however. It typically finds scientific studies on stuff, but not news articles.

For news articles on medical stuff, my favorite site is medicalnewstoday.com, which includes a useful search bar to search within the site.
