What about a light Anxiety medication?
Hi all. Back once again. Been dating the same girl for 6 months. Things went well for a while now I'm having the same problem again. It's killing me now. Causing 'weird' tension between me and her, etc.
I've been to the Boston Medical Group a few years ago and he gave me those injection things which I never really used because they freaked me out.
I went to a urologist who basically said "I can get you a prescription for something, but that's all I can do."
Hypnotherapy was a joke.
I've done countless hours of research and whatnot but I still can't cure my own psychogenic ED.
Tried Cialis, Viagra, Levitra, Vigamed (I have yet to try Vigamed + other med like Flavio)
Here's what will happen, in order.
Girl and I will have sex a few times, things are going great, I'm happy, she's happy.
Then once I can't get an erection, things get 'weird' between us, I'm miserably depressed, can't focus at work or school or anything, it's all I think about, all day, every day, like an obsession. I can't eat, I can't sleep, all kinds of terrible things running through my mind. I'm stressed, I can snap at people.
Then, a few days later we try again and it works and everything is fine again. And it repeats.
What about a light antidepressant or anxiety med like Wellbutrin? Something to relieve stress? I'm really a happy person, this is the only thing that stresses me out. And when it does, it reeeeally does. I know that some antidepressants cause ED, but I wonder if something light may have the oppositte effect for us?!

How do you know it is psychogenic ED? The times when it worked, were you on any pde-5 inhibitors (Cialis, Viagra, etc.)? The times when it did not worked, did you take any pde-5 inhibitors?

Like the other guy said, 'welcome to the human race'.
It's only natural that you should feel upset and anxious because of this. That's a perfectly normal human reaction. And it's also normal that this causes some tension between you and your girlfriend.
I once broke up with a girl because of my ED. Our first sexual experience was perfect but the second was not so good and I lost my erection just before penetration. I was extremely upset and ended up breaking up with her just because of that! I really regret it now because she's a wonderful person and I'm trying to win her back.
Like I said before, psychogenic ED is easily treatable but it takes time and patience. It's not a linear process, there will be occasional failures (we're only human!) but they are nothing to worry about. Don't be so hard on yourself, that's absurd.
Once those negative experiences become less and less frequent and your anxiety levels start to decrease, all this will quickly become a thing of the past.

If you are going to combine different drugs, you should take some extra precautions because there may be an increased risk of side effects (e.g. hypotension): consult your urologist first, start with small doses and try these drugs when you're alone just to make sure that you can tolerate them well. Cardiac patients should not take any of them. Use only genuine brand drugs, not generics.
Moreover these drugs should only be a transitory solution. Once you overcome your anxiety, you won't need them anymore.
A mild tranquilizer could be a good solution but only your doctor can say for sure. My urologist prescribed me trazodone a couple of years ago and it was awful. Side effects were unbearable and I had to quit. I have also tried SEREDYN and tianeptine: they were much better but I don't need them anymore.

What the hell, man. Vigamed + Levitra didn't work either.
It's all in my head. I have an appointment with a urologist that specializes in ED, on Wednesday. If I have no other options I guess I'll go with the injection thing.

It's like my body gave up on it or something. I do not get erections during the night or during the day at random.
I have zero sex drive. Zero. Sex was good with my gf and I could perform 9 times out of 10 until about a month ago. I've never had a huge sex drive but there are rare times when I really get in the mood.
I'm 22. Something is wrong.
I'm on Wellbutrin (light anxiety med) and we'll see how that goes.

Caravan,
I think I have the same problem as you but I don't know if it is psychogenic or not. Sometimes I don't get night time erections and sometimes I do. Sometimes I don't get erections at all even with viagra.
I had good results taking a growth hormone stimulant (not the synthetic ones, which are bad for you). However, the results seem to be wearing off. Perhaps take a look at this website, which has a lot of good explanations.

Does Levitra make any difference in your erections? Are you able to get good erections occassionally without Levitra?

Caravan, you sound just like me a couple of years ago. I also stress easily but today I can assure you there's no reason for concern. This crap is easily treatable and if I could do it, so can you.
When I had this problem, I used to do this: after a negative sexual experience, I wouldn't have any sex in the following two or three weeks. This allowed me to relax and keep my mind away from this problem. I suggest you do the same.
A few more tips: if possible, have a rest and a warm shower before sex; don't drink coffee or anything with caffeine in it.
Going to a urologist is the most sensible thing to do right now. There may be some underlying organic cause that you're not aware of and you need to do a series of tests. I doubt there's anything physically wrong with you but even if your problem is purely psychological, a urologist will be able to help you.
If you haven't done it already, read this excellent study on psychogenic ED:
http://www.wpanet.org/uploads/Educat...jaculation.pdf
You'll find lots of useful info here.
The study doesn't mention Zoraxel but I believe this drug will be excellent in cases of sexual performance anxiety. Clavulanic acid improves erections and is also a tranquilizer.
Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

And another thing: don't tell anyone about this, not even your best friend. People are still extremely prejudiced when it comes to ED. Your urologist is the only person you should trust.

Do you MB to pornography frequently? If so, stop...completely...cold turkey. There's lots of anecdotal evidence that porn/MB frequently can cause ED.

No I don't masturbate frequently. Very rarely actually.
Some of my friends know about my ED, I treat it like it's not a big deal, I trust my friends.
I talked to a urologist the other day, he prescribed me "cialis for daily use" 5mg, and suggested more foreplay. I set up a blood test to see if I'm low on testosterone or something like that.
Here's my problem. We'll have great sex for a few days, then I can't get it up for a few days and become a manic depressive where my inability to have sex is all I can think about. It bothers me at work, at school, everywhere.
Then, we'll go for it again and I get a rock-hard erection and we have sex and all is well again.
This has been going on for over a month. I need something to stop this completely. I don't understand why this is happening. Maybe I'll ask for the injection thing, running out of options right now.
