Psychological Impotence 200 or 300mg of Viagra dont work?
I'm glad I found this forum as up until now, the only treatments I thought were available were Viagra, Ciallis and Levitra.
I suffer from PI and have found that even with large doses 200 or 300mg of Viagra for example I have still found it hard to get an erection with a partner. My biggest problem at the moment is that I'm single again after many years and thus the confidence I had built up with my previous girl has gone out the window. When I started researching this online I noted that V, C & L were some form of inhibitor that helped blood flow in the penis but as PI is in the head I thought to myself that is surely the area that needs treated. I tried both hypnosis and hypnoanalysis but both with no improvement in my performance anxiety. I then found out about Uprima that seemed to tackle the brain's response and thought that would be the key. Then found out that it didn't work very well and was discontinued.
In my situation, the ideal solution would be something that would produce an erection regardless of whether you want it or not. Many years ago I had tried injections for this but even now those seem to have been superseded by V, C and L instead.
My question is to those in a similar situation as me, is there a gel or pill that is available now that tackles the psychological side of things. In theory, I would guess that as my plumbing works just fine when I'm not under stress then this type of drug should fix my problem.
I am waiting on a delivery of valerian but other suggestions are greatly appreciated. Without a regular partner it could be several weeks or months before I get another shot at trying these out lol.
Thanks in advance.

Psychogenic ED is a complex condition and the brain's role in sexual function is still a big mystery.
I guess there are no perfect treatments for psychological ED. In theory, a centrally acting drug would be the ideal solution. Uprima (apomorphine) is no longer available but there are other solutions, e.g. cabergoline, tianeptine. Rexahn is currently developping Zoraxel, a new oral drug that shows great promise and should be available in a couple of years. Palatin is developping bremelanotide (formerly known as PT-141).
I'm an extremely anxious person and in my case, Cialis+Vigamed (oral phentolamine) were very effective. These drugs, however, don't work for everyone. Moreover, they are just erection facilitators, not erection initiators: sexual stimulation is always necessary. As far as I know, only injectable solutions can produce an erection without any kind of sexual arousal.
I suffered from sexual performance anxiety for many years but today my sex life is great. Sex is no longer a problem.
Consult your urologist before you decide to try any treatment. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

It's not even a question of being excessive, it's a question of finding the right treatment.
PDE-5 inhibitors (Viagra, Cialis, Levitra) are very effective but they only act locally. They don't increase libido and they don't improve your mood or anxiety levels. In cases of purely psychological ED, even high doses of Viagra may be useless.
Everyone is different and only a urologist can determine what's the right treatment for each case.

Thanks for the replies guys. Flavio, can cabergoline and tianeptine be purchased online?
I have only been to my doctor once about this - he is a General Practioner, I'm in the UK and that tends to be the first port of call. We discussed the fact that I had tried online viagra from registered pharmacists and recommended Cialis instead - it cost me about £60 for the four tablets - that's about $90 so needless to say when it didn't work the first couple of times I tried I knew I couldn't afford to go back for repeat prescriptions. When I pluck up the courage again I'll make another visit. He did suggest he would refer me to a counsellor as I did make him aware it's all in my head, but having done 15 hourly sessions of hypnoanalysis and not finding any dark or obvious issues in my past I'm not sure what a counsellor is going to be able to do for me at all.
Anyway, I'm determined to get this sorted one way or another so will keep you posted.

I don't know. I live in Portugal and it's very easy to get brand drugs without a prescription, so I don't need to buy them online. I only order Vigamed on the Internet.
