What causes Nocturnal Erections/Morning Glory ?
One thing that amazes me, is that when I search for the causes of nocturnal erections, they seem to still be a puzzle to researchers. There are a two theories - the full bladder and Nitric oxide circulation. However, nobody is really explicit about the causes, as - to my knowledge - nobody has really researched it. With my testosterone replacement, I wake up with 100% tumescence, and sometimes just lie there exercising my kegels, thinking how amazing it would be to have this for sex. However, a couple of minutes into masturbation and its turning floppy, but if I just lie there, I can make it stay for a reasonable time. Even when the E.D. meds work, I'm only on a 75%, and can only reach full tumescence on ejaculation.
It could be bladder, as when I relieve myself the erection certainly goes, but then why then doesnt an erection occur when I'm bursting to go after a few pints of beer!
I just think researchers might be missing a trick here. If there is something naturally occuring that can be mimicked with drugs, then it would seem a sensible course of study to undertake.

Morning Erections
Thats why i tried Melatonin , as we get older it goes down so if your over 40
get it checked or try some for a while ,it does affect Test levels in animal studies a lot. you make it at night and that could be the reason. ?????
anyway it seems to boost Pde5 inhibitors for me anyway. but give it a couple of hours to kick in before taking the pde5 inhibitor of your choice.

I too am interested in this. The only time I can get an erection without a lot of physical stimulation combined with visual is when I am tired and driving my truck. It is a diesel truck so it vibrates a little which really relaxes me. This is especially true if I am struggling to stay awake. It seems like these times are the only times that I feel like I have normal erectile function.
