    Default Refractory period

How can one lessen the refractory period. When we were young the refractory period was 1/2 hour or 15min. Now the refractory period can be 2-4 hours. I've tried 0.5mg cabergoline without success...it didn't do anything for my refractory period. The only suggestions I've found on the web is to not ejaculate.

Anyone have any experience with minimizing the refractory period?

    Welcome to the forum, mqsymth.

I tried cabergoline once but it did nothing to improve my sexual performance. Many men seem to have good results, though.

I'm not a doctor but yes, I believe it is possible to shorten or minimise your refractory period. I know I sound like a broken record, but VIGAMED (oral phentolamine) might do the trick. The refractory period (i.e. the recovery phase after orgasm) seems to be caused by a prevalence of sympathetic activity, so by blocking this (which is what VIGAMED does) you may be able to maintain your erection.

It works for me: I'm able to maintain my erection even after ejaculation.

Consult your urologist before you decide to try Vigamed or any other ED treatment.
