Vigamed + Cialis: a winning combination
Many people have asked me if it is safe to combine Vigamed (oral phentolamine) and Cialis. I believe it is.
I've been taking both drugs for the last two years and I'm very happy with the results. There's clearly a synergy between them.
I recently came across a study that confirms it. They mention alfuzosin but phentolamine is also an alpha blocker:
'Combination therapy using PDE5 inhibitors and alpha-blockers to treat LUTS and sexual dysfunction also shows promise. In a study by Yassin and Diede [22], 42 men with ED considered nonresponders to tadalafil monotherapy were given alfuzosin. This combination therapy improved ED in 71% of these patients. Further studies are needed to assess the efficacy of combination therapy, but this study provides promise.'
(Alpha blockers and ejaculatory function: a state of the art review)
Cialis and Vigamed are generally considered safe but the combination of these drugs may increase the risks of side effects, e.g. hypotension, headaches, nasal congestion. Cardiac patients should not try them.
Consult a urologist before you decide to try Vigamed, Cialis or any other ED treatment.

What's the cheapest you've been able to get Vigamed for man? I've got the necessary plumbing, but still have some performance anxiety issues, which is what Vigamed battles, right?

I'm not a doctor but, based on my own personal experience, yes, I believe that Vigamed is an excellent solution for sexual performance anxiety. Once you overcome your anxiety, you won't need it anymore.
I always buy mine at propecia-proscar.com but vasomaxclinic.com is cheaper.

I'm considering this, too. I stress too easily.

Phentolamine is used to treat several conditions but I've never heard that one before.
Oral phentolamine is an approved ED treatment in several countries and it is also prescribed at the AMI clinics all around the world, we're not experimenting anything new here.

mixing these products is causing your blood pressure to drop a lot more than it would just with cialis / viagra. this is very dangerous and can increase your chances of developing naion. this is caused by a lack of blood pressure in the eye and mixing these products can increase chances of it happening

Yes, there is an increased risk of hypotension but I wouldn't describe it as 'very dangerous'. Moreover, I believe the benefits outweigh the risks. I've been taking both drugs for over a year, I'm very happy with the results and I don't intend to stop. Everyone is different though, so I strongly recommend you start with smaller doses and consult your urologist first.

I didn't mention the possible side effects of these drugs on my original post but I've just corrected that.

Still on the subject of combination therapy, here's a recent study on the combination of mirodenafil and hypertensive meds (this may be of some interest because oral phentolamine is also prescribed for high blood pressure):
'Efficacy and safety of mirodenafil in men taking antihypertensive medications - Abstract
Monday, 30 August 2010
Department of Urology, Seoul National University Hospital, Seoul, Korea.
Mirodenafil is a recently developed oral phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor, which was observed to significantly improve erectile function and was well tolerated in men with broad-spectrum erectile dysfunction (ED).
To investigate the efficacy and safety of mirodenafil treatment compared with placebo in men taking at least one antihypertensive medication.
A multicenter, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group, fixed-dose study was conducted with 109 subjects who were randomized to placebo or mirodenafil 100 mg for 12 weeks on an "as needed" basis.
The primary efficacy measures were the changes from baseline in sum of scores on International Index of Erectile Function-erectile function domain (IIEF-EF) questions 1 to 5 and 15 with treatment. The secondary efficacy measures included scores on IIEF question 3 and 4 (Q3 and Q4), all domain scores of IIEF, and Sexual Encounter Profile Question 2 and 3 (SEP2 and SEP3) along with responses to Global Assessment Question (GAQ) and Life Satisfaction Checklist (LSC). The safety assessments included laboratory tests, vital signs, 12-lead electrocardiogram recordings, and patients' reporting of adverse events. Read more: UroToday - Login
