Ok guys, this is exciting.
I finally came across a study that adresses the mechanics of psychogenic ED. The study is entitled 'From Premature Ejaculation to Erectile Dysfunction via Depression' and explains the relationship between premature ejaculation, anxiety, depression, ED and neurotransmitter dysfunction. Like I said before, anxiety is only part of the problem. Erections start in the brain and if the brain isn't working properly (e.g. depression, mood fluctuations), your sex life will suffer. I therefore believe that if you are able to control your mood (which may not be as simple as it seems), you will be able to beat psychogenic ED. In the future, ZORAXEL may be an excellent solution: it goes to the root of the problem and controls neurotransmitter levels in the brain. Here's a couple of important quotes from this study: 'Studies quoted prove that anxiety is closely related to premature ejaculation. Later on anxiety gets converted into depression, which in itself is an etiological factor of erectile dysfunction.' 'Robust association exists between anxiety and depression. Anxiety is associated with depression in the range of 47 to 57% and 56% of anxious patients have comorbid depression.' 'In an important study, subjects with PME were divided into two groups, E1 and E2. Former group had less neurotic features than later group. On psychological evaluation close resemblance was found between E2 and those who were having psychogenic ED. Levels of depression in all groups under study except E1 was significantly high. Level of anxiety among persons suffering from neuroticism is always very high. This particular study highlights interrelationship between neuroticism, anxiety, depression and erectile dysfunction.' 'Depression and performance anxiety are closely linked. Anxiety begins in childhood or adolescence, while start of depressive disorder takes place later during young to middle adulthood.' 'Yet evidence has been provided by a neurological study in which activity of brain was monitored during sexual stimulation in depressed and healthy subjects. In subjects with depression, brain activation during erotic visual stimulation was considerably less than in healthy subjects especially in thalamus, caudate nucleus and inferior and superior temporal gyri. Both the groups - depressed and healthy showed no tangible differences in activation when they were exposed to neutral stimuli.' 'These studies and observations testify that a strong relationship exists among anxiety, PME, depression and ED' 'Limitations: We still cannot predict with certainty what kind of anxieties would be converted into depression. Secondly it is not yet possible to predict what type of depression would develop into ED. No classification of depression on the basis of neurotransmitter has been proposed.' Super Kamagra, worked when i tried it, but the SSRI for the PE gave me very bad diarrhea after approx 2hr. I've tried it a few times on my own and get the same problem, so it's unusable for me, but i think i did notice the SSRI have some effect.

I never tried any SSRIs, I'm terrified of them. The only antidepressant I ever took was tianeptine (brand name STABLON) which actually improves libido and erections.
Speaking of depression, last time I had sex I did this small experiment. I was feeling a bit depressed at the time, so I was really not in the mood for sex at all and my erection was not as strong as usual. Then, I took some alcohol and I immediately felt not just more relaxed but also this chemical, physical change in my brain. My mood improved, any signs of depression were gone and sex was awesome. I'm not saying that you should do this on a regular basis of course, but there are studies that show that moderate amounts of alcohol can improve libido and erections. Alcohol is a centrally acting agent and it may activate some of the brain areas responsible for sexual function. |

The SSRI in Super K is a very fast and short acting one. I don't think i'd ever want to take full blown anti-depressants for it. I can just pull out, stop or masturbate before and i'm happy with that for now. I'm probably not premature given i can prevent myself by these means, but it's nice to have more control anyway.
I'd rather have to worry about stopping than not getting erect at all, so i'll take the lesser of two evils for now lol. |
