    Default MY completed AMI experience

    Hi Everyone,

I went to AMI because I had stage fright and trouble getting and maintaining an erection when I picked up. Inexperience played a role in my problem.

I did not enquire about the cost before making an appointment as i assumed that i would get the opportunity of buying things as wanted, though i did expect it to be pricey.

    MEDICATIONS
    ===========
First I was given the nasal spray. My only complaint here is that I don't think it was the ideal medication for my issue, and it seems like everyone probably gets it automatically.

I believe that this works more for premature ejaculation. It made more spontaneous generally, probably improved my desire to have sex and my erections were extremely firm and a little more regular, but I found that my stage fright still beat it when the big moment came and it took ages to have an orgasm while i was using this treatment. In fact, it got ridiculous.

I developed a nasal irritation from the spray after a few weeks and I was one of the small percentage of people who has this trouble. They moved me onto injectables and I was a bit scared of it as I didn't like the idea of injecting a solution into my penis. I carefully followed all the materials and instructions. In the end, it was perfect for someone with my problem. I would complain that it took ages to cum when using it, but it gave you an erection no matter what was on your mind or how nervous you were. The gel they provided was supposed to be an occasional alternative to the injections, but didn't do much for me by itself, though probably improved firmness a bit.

I found that their medications do work, though their contract lengths and prices were steep. I actually managed to negotiate a 9 month contract and I am now past my ED issues and am happy with a partner so I no longer require it and I suppose that I have to say it was worth it.

I wouldn't regard AMI as a scam. But you should probably also consider talking to your GP about erection problems. While they may not have the nasal spray, there are probably other medications they can provide you for less than a few thousand and no contracts!!

Also - AMI gave me a supply of vitamins and herbs which gave me a slight kick, but i lead a fairly healthy lifestyle. For others, they might provde a real boost and help with performance..etc...

Finally, I will say that AMI were really good with customer support and service. They always asked if everything was fine with the medications and provided assistance whenever required. Friendly, professional and good service.

This is excellent! Thank you for posting this Paddy1, it's exactly what I needed to know.

    5 questions:

    a) What AMI clinic did you go to? Was it the London clinic? (Please post the complete address)

    b) Do you know the ingredients of the nasal spray? Does it contain apomorphine? And phentolamine?

    c) How did you manage to negotiate a 9 month contract? I thought they were inflexible in this point...

    d) I read somewhere that they also sell apomorphine+phentolamine lozenges (sublingual tablets?) for the treatment of ED. Is this information correct?

    e) How much did you pay?

    Thanks again!

    Default response to questions

    Hey there.

No problem and happy to help.

    In answer to your questions
    ----------------------------

    a) What AMI clinic did you go to? Was it the London clinic? (Please post the complete address)

    - Melbourne, Australia. It was in St Kilda Road.

    b) Do you know the ingredients of the nasal spray? Does it contain apomorphine? And phentolamine?

    - According to the booklet that came with it, it contains apomorphine with or without phentolamin, and with or without sildenafil, tadalefil or vardanafil. Also contains metoclopramide and claims that it has different combinations of the about listed ingredients. So I think they may contain apomorphine and phentolamine, and if you find certain undesirable effects, they may supply some sort of combination variation. They are a bit coy about the exact ingredients of your spray and proportions.

    c) How did you manage to negotiate a 9 month contract? I thought they were inflexible in this point...

    - I was offered an 18 month contract and basically advised that I could not afford it. She offered 12 months and I said I could afford only 6 month upfront. She said they could do that with a healthy starting fee. So just a bit of back and forth and I got 9 months. I basically said I couldn't proceed on an 18 month basis. Whether they are flexible with others people who can afford but complain about cost, I cannot say. Perhaps with me, they thought it would be best to have me for 9 months than not at all.

    d) I read somewhere that they also sell apomorphine+phentolamine lozenges (sublingual tablets?) for the treatment of ED. Is this information correct?

Yes that's true, they provide a lozenge as alternative to nasal spray. Because I developed a nasal irritation to the spray, i was advised that I probably would get a reaction to the lozenge as well. They also have a "clom" capsule but I do not know anything about it.

    e) How much did you pay?

    $2000 - $250 / month for 8 months + $300 up front. So $2300 in total.

Happy to answer any other questions

This is really helpful Paddy, thank you so much.

Phentolamine can indeed delay ejaculation, which could be either a blessing (e.g. if you suffer from premature ejaculation) or a curse. I can attest to this: I take VIGAMED (oral phentolamine 40 mg) 30 minutes before sex and it takes me longer to ejaculate. I wonder if it was phentolamine that was delaying the orgasm in your case...

Maybe apomorphine has a similar side effect: my urologist told me that Uprima also delayed ejaculation, but I don't know its exact ingredients (it contained apomorphine but I have no idea if it also contained phentolamine, Uprima is no longer available in Europe).

It's not surprising that they are discreet about the ingredients of their products. Most companies do this.

As an alternative, yes. Interesting, I guess the lozenges are probably not as effective as the nasal spray.

    Thanks again!
