Update on my low testosterone levels!
A few days ago i visited my endocrinologist to show him the results of the exams that he had ordered to see if there was an underlying reason behind my low testosterone levels.
He actually said there was not any obvious reason(adenoma, cyst, cancer etc. )in the brain(Hypophysis) and that the testicles seem to be working fine, the problem seems to be in the signal that hypophysis sends to the testicles, this situation is called secondary hypogonadism and it cannot be attributed to an obvious reason(except chronic stress maybe, who knows!).
Anyway,it seems now that i am a candidate for Testosterone replacement therapy and he prescribed me TESTIM GEL for the first month. He said that he really doesn't think that gel rises testosterone levels in the blood,he just wants to see whether i have side effects due to this therapy(high blood pressure, flushing, aggresiveness etc.)
If everything is ok ,i will then start with testosterone injections and he specifically prescribed me NIBEDO,which major advantage is that you may have an injection every 10 weeks, not every one or two weeks like other older forms of testosterone injections.
For now, fortunately my insurance covers the cost of NIBEDO(a single injection costs 130 euros!!!),i just hope Greece does not bankrupt..in that case i don't think i will be able to afford it!But again in that case, sex will probably be the last thing on my mind,i don't think i will care!
And let me say once again that as Flavio said, noone can assure you that ED will be fixed after replacement testosterone therapy, but of course if your testosterone levels are low,you should definitely fix that and see if your libido first and erections afterwards are getting better!

Actually the name of the drug is NEBIDO,not Nibedo!

Testim gel
A few days ago i started Testim Gel for my low testosterone levels.
As my endocrinologist said he does not believe that gel actually rises testosterone levels,he just wants me to apply this gel every day for about one month to see if there are any side effects and if everything is fine i will go on with the testosterone injections(Nebido).
According to the manufacturer of Testim though, gel can rise testosterone levels.Has any of you had any experience with testosterone replacement therapy in gel form?Of course,i will check my testosterone levels after about 25 days when i will have finished with Testim and before i start the injections.
Although it is too early to say anything, the good thing is that i have no side effect with the gel,but i do not feel any improvement in my sex drive, energy etc. , i guess i'll just have to wait.

Testosterone patch
I had tried the gel , not very satisfied-it's alcohol based and tend do disipate as your applying it , had much more success with the patch , tried the 5mg , easly to apply . Only problem is some dry/irritated skin lately , seems to have diminished it's effectivness somewhat . i paying more attention to moving the loacation daily , and moisturizing and scrubbing the area after I take it off.
