Nightly Viagra/Cialis/Levitra can eliminate need for any pills
I haven't seen this posted before, so I am adding it because this may be a cure for you.
Taking a small dose of Viagra, Levitra, or Cialis every night before bed for several months (not just as needed for sexual activity) can improve erectile function long after one stops taking the pills. That is the beauty of this: it can still work AFTER you stop taking the pills.
What a fascinating find. IngentaConnect Long-term treatment of erectile dysfunction with a phosphodiester...
Has anybody done this and had good results?
Other study on this same topic:
Improved spontaneous erectile function in men with mild-to-moderate arteriogenic erectile dysfunction treated with a nightly dose of sildenafil for one year : a randomized trial
And there are a bunch of other studies that have been done. Just Google "nightly sildenafil" or "nightly tadalafil" or "nightly vardenafil" and you will see that several studies have been done, and all show that guys had improved erections long after they stopped doing the nightly treatment. This is a FANTASTIC thing!

Nice!!! That is a great find,I will read it as we speak. I mean I was always scared to take to much or a little everyday because in the end I do not want to depend on Viagra, Cialis or Levitra. I only take it when I need it. Currently trying to find the ultimate herbal solution and just placed an order for Zenerx. I will review it once I get it and try it.
"spontaneous erectile function (EF) in men with mild-to-moderate"
(thats what I need again, just like when I was 21

I read about it a few years ago as well. The first study was completed in 2004.
The study I posted above is from 2008 from the same doctor who first studied this effect, and the study basically says you can get better results doing the nightly Viagra if you use a dose that is proven by equipment called Rigiscan to produce firm erections while you sleep (results will be better than just arbitrarily using a small dose, because that dose may not produce good enough erections while you sleep).

So if I were to take 10mg of viagra every night, over time I can go without them? Like a treatment?
-
Well, the studies on Viagra that I found always used 50mg every night right before bed. The tough part about that is the money.
My urologist told me to get 100mg pills, cut them in half, and do it. You will save money that way.
That second study says this, "Six months after treatment, the IIEF EF remained normal and PSV was stabilized in most (28/29, 97%) nightly group men who had initially normalized." Here is what that basically means: 29 guys out of 48 who did the study had normal function without any pills at all one month after they stopped taking the pills. Six months later, 28 of those guys still had normal function and they had not been taking any pills. That is AWESOME!

Vitamin E and PDE-5 inhibitors
I would combine it with Vitamin E to make the pills work better when you sleep as well.

This guys says he's basically cured.

"Since I've been doing the smaller dosages on a "One_A-Day" basis I am the best I've been in 20 years and no longer even have the sense that I suffer from ED."

Guys, I started getting 6 free 20mg Levitras every month from my insurance company. I will cut it into quarters and do 5 mg a night for several months and see if it helps. I'll keep you guys updated down the road.

This is an interesting theory but it probably only works for men with some sort of organic/vascular problem. For cases of psychogenic ED such as mine (i.e. sexual performance anxiety) I guess it won't do much good.
Have you tried VIGAMED already, Willie? Why don't you try it in combination with Levitra?
Thanks for sharing this with us Willie and keep us posted on your progress.

Flavio,
It seems that nightly use of PDE-5 inhibitors will do good for people with psychogenic ED.
I read a few studies (some are in the links below) that people with psychogenic ED have more collagen content and less smooth muscle in their corporal cavernosum than potent subjects. Although people with organic causes (vasculogenic, veno-occlusive, nerve damage) have significantly less smooth muscle content. It is also said that psychogenic ED is a precursor to organic ED because fibrosis occurs at a higher rate in people with psychogenic ED. When smooth muscle content reaches below 36%, the onset of veno-occlusive symptoms (venous-leaks) will occur.
Several studies seem to indicate that nightly use of pde-5 inhibitors can prevent the reduction of penile smooth muscles and even increase smooth muscle content. More smooth muscle = easier erections.
