The big night: Vigamed seems to work!

I know this is a decent website, so I won't bore you with the sordid details of my sex life. I would like, however, to share with you what happened to me last night, for two reasons:

a) Oral phentolamine seems to be really effective

I ordered a couple of packets of Vigamed (oral phentolamine 40 mg) and last night was the big test. I took Cialis 20 mg as well, two hours before sex, and something strange happened: one hour later, I couldn't have an erection. I was really, really anxious so maybe anxiety was preventing me from having an erection, or maybe Cialis takes more than hour to work, I don't know. Then I took Vigamed (30 minutes before sex) and boom I had this amazing erection. So amazing, in fact, that several hours after sex, I was still hard. This scared me a bit because I've read some articles about priapism, so I threw some cold water down there to lose the erection.

b) Alcohol did not inhibit my libido

I was a bit drunk that night (I had a gin tonic and two beers) and that didn't stop me from having this super erection. So it's not entirely true that alcohol inhibits erections, at least not if you take alcohol moderately.

Hmm interesting but is it not dangerous to mix that? Is Vigamed or phentolamine a prescription med? I have been on viagra for a while now and it does not work as well for me anymore

In theory, mixing an alpha blocker (such as Vigamed) and Cialis could result in a sudden drop of blood pressure, but I didn't have any problems. According to this website, it's perfectly safe to mix those two drugs: cialis and Phentolamine Drug Interactions

Oral phentolamine (brand name Vigamed) is not being sold in the US, only in South America.

You also said that Viagra doesn't work for you anymore. Drugs don't just stop working and there are studies that show the longevity of Viagra. I've been using Cialis for almost a year and it's still working.

I'm not an expert, but I believe that cases like yours could result from anxiety or other psychological reasons. If you're feeling too anxious or depressed, the little blue pill won't work - Viagra is merely an erection facilitator, not an erection intiator.

I suggest you take the following steps:

- Stop taking Viagra for a while (e.g. a month) and then resume the treatment

- Increase your dose of Viagra

- Take vitamin E, which will improve the efficacy of Viagra

- If it still isn't working, change to another PDE-5 inhibitor (Cialis or Levitra)

Thanks Flavio, I am going to look into all that and sill surely stock on on my Vitamin E. Going to see my doctor next week and I will discuss your recommendations. I never new that meds like Viagra never stop working, I just though your body gets uses to them and does not absorb them correctly after a while
