Need help with my delima
My doctor first prescribe Cialis 20mg (trial packs) and I split the pills so I only took 10mg, which worked great, however my insurance wouldn't pay because it's non-formulary.
As a alternative my doctor wrote a prescription for Levitra 10mg which is approved (formulary) by the insurance company. Levitra didn't seem to work the first time, the second time I took it I didn't get a chance to see if it worked or not because I got in trouble with my girl friend. Finally, the third time it worked as advertised and very well at that, the only side effect was my face felt flush (warm).
My issue is with my insurance company limits 6 pills per month. So I'm wondering what is the best way to ask the doctor to increase the dosage to 20mg and splitting the Levitra in half, will most doctors do this? Or do I ask the doctor if he could write the prescription for 10 pill and I pay full price for (4) of them and the insurance company pays for (6).
The doctor also stated, if Levitra didn't work out for me to let him know and he would re address the prescription and get approval for Cialis from my insurance company.
In my opinion they both work about the same, but Cialis works longer.
What would you suggest?
Looking forward to your suggestions.

Yeah the insurance companies only pay for a limited amount? I would try asking your doctor for the 20mg Levitra but you must tell him you will split the pills with a pill cutter in order to get the 20mg dosage. I know it saves money because they cost about the same. Make sure you explain this to your doctor.

That's what I did this morning, called the doctor and request for 20mg so I could split them in half, he was ok with that. Pills are really small I hope they're easy to cut in half with a pill cutter.
