Valerian
I had great sex this week but this time I didn't take any chances and took my ED pills: Cialis 20 mg and Vigamed. I also tried something new: valerian pills.
Valerian is not exactly an ED treatment but I believe it may be very helpful in cases of sexual performance anxiety. Valerian root is used worldwide for its calming and relaxing effects. It is very effective in nervous conditions which are stress-induced. You can read all about it on Marc Bonnard's The Viagra alternative (page 106):
http://books.google.pt/books?id=lBiG...esult&resnum=2
I took 150 mg of valerian 30 minutes before sex and I felt no anxiety whatsoever. Who knows, maybe it was just a placebo, but it definitely worked and sex was wonderful.
If you also suffer from sexual performance anxiety I suggest you try this. It is completely natural, safe and has none of the inconveniences of chemical anxiolytics (e.g. no sexual side effects). In fact, doctors sometimes prescribe valerian to young children who are going through stressful periods.
If you do decide to take valerian, try some pills instead of the tea. The latter may not be effective enough.

Could be a placebo effect like you mentioned but who knows, I saw this book on google and was thinking of buying it? What did you think of it? Have you read the whole thing yet?Trying to treat ED naturally, looks like you are t0 but that would mean cutting out the cialis

More on valerian and ED (at nyc-plus.com):
«Valerian: The same way a cocktail (or for some folks, a joint) can relax them before sex, Valerian is a sedative, which if taken in small doses may mellow and arouse both men and women. "If you're the kind of person who has anxiety about sex, whether it be because you're worried about achieving erection, or orgasm, using an anti-anxiety substance, prudently, and in uniform dosages, can be a powerful aphrodisiac," says Chapman.
Valerian, which typically costs less than $6, l can be found in health food stores. It tastes and smells pretty vile, so you'll probably want it in capsule form. It usually works within an hour of taking. The Tang Center for Herbal Medicine Research at the University of Chicago judges short-term use of valerian as safe.»

Yohimbe
You really had side effects with Yohimbe Flavio? I take the stuff every week and never feel any type of side effects? I can even sleep like a baby. I would say it helps my erections stay nice and hard but getting them is the tricky part.

Yohimbe is a popular supplement and most guys have no side effects but it didn't work for me. Side effects were unbearable and I didn't see any results. Maybe it shouldn't be taken by people with anxiety disorders, I don't know - there are few studies done on yohimbe.
I also wrote somewhere that yohimbe is an aphrodisiac but it's not. It does make me more 'voracious' but that has nothing to do with libido. Sexual desire is all about mellowness, calm and relaxation. Yohimbe, by the contrary, is a powerful stimulant and releases noradreline in your body.

Yohimbe side effects
Flavio,
what kind of side effects did you get with Yohimbe. I have been taking it for a few weeks now and am not seeing many results. My side effects are weird and vary from headaches to not being able to sleep at night? Let me know..

Yohime improved the efficacy of Cialis but side effects were unbearable: anxiety, restlessness, insomnia. I also found it harder to ejaculate. And yes, there were some weird side effects, too: my behavior changed, I felt angrier, more 'voracious', even more jealous. I had to stop it before I became a rabid lunatic.
It seems that yohimbe increases adrenaline in your system and blocks alpha 2 receptors in the penis. This may explain my agressive behavior. Most guys don't experience any side effects, though. I believe that people with anxiety disorders (I am a terribly anxious person and my psychiatrist told me I suffer from OCD) should not take yohimbe.

I'm surprised to hear Valarian may have helped.
I've used it in the past for sleeplessness but never heard of it helping with ED.
