Good news! Vivus has announced results of Phase 3 Trials of their new ED drug, avanafil.
Avanafil is a PDE-5 inhibitor and works in a similar way to Viagra. It may, however, achieve a full effect in 30 minutes or less (Viagra takes up to one hour), with a window of opportunity for intercourse extending beyond six hours. The new drug will probably be available in 2010. And, most importantly, avanafil brings new hope to all of those who don't respond to the currently available treatments. By the way, the title of this thread is not entirely accurate. I said that phase 3 is completed but it's not. My apologies for that. There are still several trials to be done and avanafil will only be available in 2011. |
