Default Cabergoline was a huge disappointment!

I'm looking for a centrally acting agent to add to my regimen so I decided to try cabergoline (brand name Dostinex) yesterday. Cabergoline is a dopaminergic agent and there are studies that show its efficacy in cases of psychogenic impotence. Unfortunately, it didn't do much for me. I had a strong erection but that had nothing to do with cabergoline; it didn't increase my libido and it didn't shorten my refractory period.

I think I'm going back to my yohimbe bark supplement. It may have unpleasant side effects (insomnia, anxiety, restlessness), but it increases my sexual appetite and improves the efficacy of Cialis. I read somewhere that yohimbine has the same efficacy of yohimbe bark and no side effects. Is this true? Where can I order yohimbine on the Internet?

But what do you mean, you said you got a strong erection? That's the whole point right? Why did it not work? I have heard of Cabergoline buit have never tried it.....

Yes, I had a decent erection but nothing extraordinary. When I take Cialis or Vigamed, there's clearly a major improvement. And everything else (libido, refractory period) was the same, so I believe dostinex didn't do much for me.

But did it make you get an erection once you thought of something sexual? All I need is to get there, once I am penetrating my ED goes away? This is why Viagra is just a booster for me

My problem is a bit different. I never had any problem attaining an erection: I just have to think of something sexual and boom, I get rock hard. The problem is maintaining my erection: I sometimes lose the erection just before penetration, because I get too anxious. How pathetic is that?!!

Cialis and Vigamed improved things in my case, but they're not infallible. I believe a centrally acting drug is the ideal solution for me. Unfortunately, cabergoline doesn't seem to work (I'll give it a second try, though) and Zoraxel is still 4 years away. I guess I'll have to go back to yohimbe...

Flavio, I gotta hand it to you man. I think you now hold the world record for most medications sampled! Hey, at least you've got a few that work for you. Some guys don't respond to the meds.

I am also very excited about Zoraxel.

And, believe me, if I lived in the US, I would post an application for the trial tests of Zoraxel, avanafil and gene therapy for ED!

I know that trying all these pills may seem crazy but it's not. I only take genuine brand drugs and I'm fortunate to live in a country (Portugal) where you don't actually need a prescription to get these meds. And I think you should try at least all three PDE-5 inhibitors (Viagra, Cialis, Levitra) to see which one works best. Everyone is different and results vary greatly.

In my case, Cialis 20 mg and Vigamed were by far the most effective.

As for cabergoline (Dostinex), maybe it works only in cases of high prolactine levels (which is not my case).

Wow Flavio, did not know that, In the US prescription is required for almost everything. Did not know it was like that in Portugal. I do however try to drive to Canada as much as possible for refilling my prescription, because you can buy generics there for more than half the price. But when I do the math I do not save that much do to gas driving up there, 150 miles from me
