    I'm not a doctor and I can barely understand what these articles even mean, but this seems to be separate from gene therapy and stem cell research. So, growth factor therapy is another future option.

    Google Dr. Tom Lue if you want to see a key name in this field. Here is one article I found:

    Great article. I got the basics of it but honestly I have to agree with you. Most of it is medical talk and it is very hard to understand

    Excellent article! Thank you for posting this, Willie.

    I'm not an expert, but this seems to be a new form of gene therapy. Unlike the maxi-k gene therapy, this treatment seems to use viral vectors instead of naked DNA:

    "[...] Because the herpes virus persists in the nerve cell for as long as it is alive and nerve cells typically do not reproduce, this represents the first-ever demonstration of a long-term treatment for ED that does not rely on the chronic administration of drugs that can have potentially harmful side effects [...]"

    Willie is absolutely right. Dr Tom Lue is a world authority in his field. Here's something I found about him on UroToday:
