    Default Zoraxel

A new ED drug is being developed by Rexahn Pharmaceuticals Inc. It's called Zoraxel and works by acting on neurotransmitters in the male brain.

Zoraxel seems to have a significant effect on erection quality and also boost sexual desire. PDE-5 inhibitors (Viagra, Cialis and Levitra) while boosting erectile function do not have an effect on sexual desire.

Viagra and Cialis are going to get allot of competition. So many companies know that millions of men suffer from Erectile dysfunction and they want to fill that gap and create more variety.

Great read Flavio, thanks for posting

This drug sounds like it could be terrific. I really hope it gets approved by the FDA. I am slightly worried, however, because it sounds similar to Uprima (which had issues with approval), and another drug I've read about that did not get approved: Bremelanotide.

Do you guys think it will get approved?

Hmmm hard to say Willie, sometimes one thinks that the makes of the "big 3" (and I do not mean the automakers) have control over what gets approved and what does not

Default Rexahn just anounced positive results from phase IIa Zoraxel clinical trials

Rexahn Reports Positive Preliminary Findings in ZoraxelTM Clinical Trial to Treat Erectile Dysfunction

The drug was safe and effective, which is just what we want to hear. It works differently than Viagra too, so it will be another option.

Great news, Willie! Thank you for posting this.

Zoraxel shows great promise and it may be the perfect solution for cases of psychogenic ED such as mine. There's still a long way to go until it becomes available, though: phase 3 trials are the longest and most expensive.

    Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Does anybody know much about the FDA approval process? Since Zoraxel just completed phase IIa clinical trials, when can we expect it to hit the market?

Zoraxel looks like it will be the next huge release, and then hopefully gene therapy shortly after.

    Default More Positive News!

I really hope Zoraxel gets approved and comes out soon.

An animal study says, "Zoraxel(TM), produced a remarkable increase in the sexual activity in rats, offering important insight for how Zoraxel may positively affect human sexual behavior."

The PDE-5 inhibitors work well at producing and maintaining erections, but they don't do much for sexual enjoyment. I often think while using them that sex should feel better than it does. Hopefully Zoraxel can make it feel better.

    Same here, Willie.

On their website, those guys say that the primary compound in Zoraxel is the beta-lactamase inhibitor clavulanic acid. I'm not an expert, but this seems a bit weird. There are several drugs today that contain clavulanic acid, but apparently nobody noticed its sexual benefits...

I have a feeling Zoraxel might come out before August 2010. Rexahn is in financial trouble and they need to put this on the market as quickly as possible.
