Default Does BMG prescribe Caverject or Viagra

I guess this question is for John and I wanted to start another thread because I did not want to hijack the other one. Does the Boston Medical group only prescribe their own mixes of medications for patients or do they prescribe caverject for guys with severe erectile dysfunction? What if the ED is not that bad do your doctors prescribe Viagra as well or is it only injection based meds?

    Thanks

    Default My input

Rodney, I know you want John to answer but I will give you my input as well. I think and John correct me if I am wrong, that Boston Medical Group doctors only prescribe their own medications and not caverject. If they also prescribe Viagra or Cialis I am not sure, maybe if the ED is not as severe and the patient has never been on PDE-5 inhibitors?

    Hope that helps a little...

    Hi Rodney,

Thanks for starting a new thread.

As I've mentioned on this site, our doctors have a number of treatment options that they prescribe based on each individual’s situation, many of which are listed here:

    Treatment Options for Erectile Dysfunction

ICP (injection) therapy is often recommended because many of our patients have already unsuccessfully tried the PDE-5 inhibitors (Viagra, Cialis, etc.). ICP therapy can be very effective in restoring blood flow and improving the overall condition of the organ (unlike PDE-5 inhibitors.) The injection therapy that we provide consists of a mixture of vasodilators different from, and more effective than, an off-the-shelf treatment like Caverject. We see a lot of patients who have tried Caverject with little success but see great results from our treatments.

I hope this is helpful, and I wish you the best of luck.

    -John

Thanks John, I was not really sure on if it was caverject or not. Thanks for the link I am reviewing the site now. If you could ballpark a price for treatment, how much would you say it costs? Just a ballpark so I can get a taste of the pricing?

    Thanks

    Hello again Rodney,

Let me do my best here....

As far as the ICP is concerned, the cost of a typical treatment program can range from approximately $15 to $30 per treatment depending on frequency and dosage requirements. As I've said, the actual cost will depend on the doctor’s recommendation after reviewing the dignostic test results and the patient's medical history. If ICP proves to not be the best treatment there are certainly other options including oral medications, Vacuum Suction Devices, or others. The prices of those can vary as well.

Keep in mind though that "The Boston Method" is a lot more than just medication and includes all of the following:

    - A 24 hour on-call physician and 24 hour emergency phone support
    - The cost of medication
    - All follow-up visits
    - Adjustments to medications during the treatment period (if necessary)
    - Costs of program administration

I hope that answers your question. As always, feel free to call any of our counselors at 877-212-9161. They can get into the nitty-gritty much better than I can here.

We hope to see you soon!

    -John

John, that does sound reasonable and thanks for trying to pin point it. I will be giving that number a call this week to get some more information. thanks for taking the time to answer all my questions. I am very glad that there is a clinic such as BMG that attends to only mens needs......

Hmmm thats not that bad at all. But this is all for the doctor checkup and tests. I would imagine that the injectable treatment would cost a little over $500 bucks am I correct? I did some digging and a few guys have paid up to $600 for these treatments but they last for 6 months..

I have been there once but never got the treatment. It can cost hundreds of dollars but the good part about it is that your erection stays hard for as long as you want. I guess you can say that it will eliminate 2 problems premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction. For starters once you ejaculate to soon just switch out the condom and go again then when your are done your erection will slowly go away, that's based on a review I read by the way

    Hi Manfred (and Ralphed),

Getting into the pricing is a little tough because it depends on the dosage and frequency of treatments prescribed by our doctors, but the treatment programs can be as low as $450. Again, it's important to see this as more than just medication. As I mentioned in the previous post, The Boston Method includes 24 phone and physician support, all follow-up visits during the treatment period, any medication adjustments (if necessary), and also the medication, of course.

You can read about what to expect when visiting our medical centers here:

    What to Expect

And of course, you can always talk to one of our counselors by calling 877-212-9161.

We're here if you need us. Feel free to call or let me know if you have any other questions.

    -John
