Default Viagra and Levitra pricing question

Why is viagra so much more expensive than Levitra? I have been prescribed levitra for over a year now and find it much better than viagra. I was initially give viagra samples from my doctor but they did not work for me so I was switched over to Levitra and it gave me great firm erections. Every time I buy levitra it is always 10 to 20 % cheaper that viagra? You would think that it would be the other way around? Why are they so overpriced?

It all depends on where you buy levitra. Some pharmacies are cheaper than others and so on but usually they are very similar in pricing. Levitra is also different in a sense, most diabetic prefer it over viagra.

Have you guys checked out cialis yet? They are not cheap and I think they are even a little more expensive than both Levitra and Viagra. But look at it this way the yellow pill lasts for 2 days and the other two you would have to take two instead of just one cialis...

The only other option to get the most inexpensive prices is generics but keep in mind if you live in Canada they will be much cheaper, there is still no generic version for viagra or levitra in the US.

The root of this question goes to the Manufacturer. When the manufacturer, such as Pfizer raises their prices then the cost per pill goes up. How do I know this?

Well, being in the industry - working for Viamedic.com. The prices for Viagra just went up 11% on January 1st, 2009. So when the manufacturer increases their prices, the online pharmacy has no choice but to raise it up.

The price is not too much of a difference, around $10-$20 per order more for Viagra then Levitra. I would say that customers rank the preference of Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra in that order with Cialis gaining market share.

Why did they raise prices? The economy is going down the drain and these guys are raising prices? Dodge dealerships are selling trucks 2 for the price of one and Viagra is increasing its prices by 10% WTF? Via, being in the industry are sales for ED medications dropping drastically or staying the same?

It's pretty standard for the manufacturers to raise their prices every year. Consistently Pfizer has raised their prices in January every year. We did not, however, expect this much of an increase. Viamedic.com's ED sales have been staying pretty consistant with the previous years.

I just ran the 2008 numbers to see which ED pill is preferred by Viamedic.com. We will be putting this on our website, but I can tell you that Cialis is on the rise. 2008 numbers: 60% Viagra, 31% Cialis, 9% Levitra.

2007 numbers: 63% Viagra, 28% Cialis, 9% Levitra (these are rounded).
2006 numbers: 66% Viagra, 25% Cialis, 9% Levitra (numbers rounded).

We think the increase in Cialis is due to more exposure (marketing) and that the pill lasts up to 36 hours.
