I used to take Proscar for my hair loss and I experienced some sexual side effects (watery semen, loss of libido) but not impotence. I was always able to attain a strong erection. Nevertheless, I stopped taking it. Finasteride is effective but it is a dangerous drug. The ideal hair loss treatment would be an oral drug that could prevent DHT from binding to the hair follicles without altering hormone levels.
