More on Shock Therapy for Impotence
A test using shock waves has shown that new blood vessels have grown from old blood vessels. This was indicated in a report to LiveScience. Researchers believe this is the main cause of erectile dysfunction as reduced bloods vessels obviously reduce blood flow to the male sex organ. Although this test was based on animal studies, researchers did treat 20 men in their mid fifties who suffer from erectile dysfunction. The shockwaves were concentrated on 5 areas of the men’s penises twice a week for three weeks. Then after three weeks rest the procedure was again repeated.
Unlike drugs, the treatment will continue even after the shockwave procedure. But once medicines like Viagra or Cialis wear off, they stop functioning, Of the 20 volunteers, 15 have significant improvements. They also reported no pain or side effects from the procedures. This may very well offer up a solution to men with high blood pressure or kidney issues that cannot be helped by erectile dysfunction drugs. It could also be a healthy alternative to men who may not want the help of drugs. This article is a follow up from a recent post we added to our blog , there has been allot of discussion about Shockwave Procedure and EDG will follow up on any new research found. |
