Another recall on sexual enhancers by Atlas Operations
Sildenafil is a drug (Viagra) that was approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of Erectile Dysfunction. An analogue of Sildenafil, Sulfoaildenafil, has been found in a number of Atlas Operations Inc. products, which is an ingredient not listed on the product label.
After the FDA discovered this discrepancy, Atlas Operations Inc. has voluntarily announced a nationwide recall of the products with this problem as it makes them an unapproved drug. This could pose a threat to men who maybe taking other prescriptions. For example, consumers who may be taking nitroglycerin, the analogue could have a negative interaction and have their blood pressure drop to dangerous levels.
Products marketed by Atlas Operations to help with erectile dysfunction often take other drugs to help with diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. The dietary supplements which are being recalled and found to have Sulfoaildenafil are their sexual enhancement products. The list of these products are as follows; Aspire One, Sex Enhancer, Sexual Surge, Love Fuel, Erexa, 72 hours, Red Hot Sex, Libiplus, and Staminil. The lot numbers of these recalls are 494, 520C, 520B, 520A, 520, 521, 705, 706, 779, and 807. For the complete list of Atlas Operations products, consumers should visit the FDA recall site. The FDA urges consumers to stop using these products and return them to the place of purchase, or to return them directly to Atlas Operations.
