Large Number of Chinese Men Suffer From ED
A recent study conducted by the Chinese Medical Association on Chinese men has reveled that an astounding 26 percent have Erectile Dysfunction. An even higher rate was reported for men over 40, almost 40 percent of them suffer from this condition.
A Urology director from the University of Peking named Wang Xiaofeng, said that over 80 percent of these men never went for medical attention. He explained the causes these men do not go seek medical attention is due to the poor public awareness and embarrassing social impact this condition has on men.
Physical or Psychological ED? Mr. Xiaofeng claims that Chinese men who cannot or have difficulty getting an erection within a 3 month period are considered to have Erectile Dysfunction. Very few cases are physically related (just under eight percent). Most of the cases are due to psychological erectile dysfunction , while around 30 percent of cases are due to both mental and physical problems. Many of these men had a few conditions that are known to cause impotence such as: diabetes, cholesterol problems, smoking habits and hypertension. Mr. Wang pointed out the lack of exercises and poor dieting. In order to stay active sexually, one must keep active by exercises regularly. Lifestyle changes that include a proper diet and exercises 3-5 times a week can prevent the common medical conditions that initiate Erectile Dysfunction in the first place, such as diabetes and hypertension. ARTCILE: Exercise and Staying Active Reduces Erectile Dysfunction The survey was done in 11 cities and in past sexual satisfaction studies, China comes in 11th amongst 13. Mr. Wang concludes in expressing how important it is to seek medical attention if you believe erectile dysfunction is beginning in your life. |
