Is my Husband cheating on me or does He Have Erectile Dysfunction?

Since 2007 Edguider has been blogging about everything to do with erectile dysfunction and its treatment options. We have written endless articles and blog posts about ways men can treat impotence naturally and physically. Although we never address women in our posts, we thought it might be a good idea to give them some insight into how ED affects men and how they can help. The last time we wrote about how women can tell if their men have ED was back in 2009, let’s update that post and give some more insight.

The main problem that men have when it comes to ED is facing the problem, even worse, talking about it. This is a very sensitive topic that most men prefer to keep to themselves; this is why most of them do nothing until they figure out how to handle it.

Many women tend to jump to conclusions. Some common questions they ask themselves are:

1) Is my husband cheating on me?
2) Does he not find me attractive anymore?
3) Did he loose his sex drive?

If a man has ED, then all of the answers to these questions are NO! It is not that he doesn’t find you attractive or that he is cheating on you, but men just do not want to let their wives or partners down and make them feel as if they were the problem. Initially ED is hard to cope with, this is why men should contact their doctor right away and find some sort of a treatment plan.

Talking to someone, whether it’s their doctor or a friend is another problem. Men do not like to talk to other men or women about erectile dysfunction, this is why it is important for their wives to indentify it and support him. If you have confirmed that he has ED, then find a way of talking to them about it. Let him know you understand and you support him in finding a way to fix this.

How can Erectile Dysfunction be treated?

ED can be treated in many different ways; hormone treatment, injection therapy (severe cases) and medications like Cialis or Viagra are all great options. There are even certain exercise programs and natural alternatives that can treat light cases of Impotence. Sexual therapy is also becoming a popular way of eliminating Impotence as well. You can read up on a few popular treatments listed on our site here:

But how do I notice if my man has ED?

There are certain signs women can look for to find out if he is having erection problems or if he is simply cheating on you. Let’s orientate this post more towards finding out if he has ED and not cheating, we might leave that one for another blog post.

There are several things to check for, some common reactions and the way he is acting, can give him away if you know what to look out for:

1) Check to see if he has been avoiding sexual contact.

If you hint sex and he changes the subject, this does not have to mean he does not find you attractive. But that he can’t do it. Allot has to do with EGO and pride. If he has ED then a huge dent is put in that EGO, he will then try to avoid sex until he can fix his problem.

2) While watching TV, does he avoid sex scenes or go to the bathroom?

This one is a great sign that something is wrong. X-rated scenes in movies can cause sexual tension if you are alone with your partner. If a man is trying to avoid sex, he will find some way to walk away from a scene that involves it. He knows that if you initiate something, he will have to turn you down and he is trying to save himself the embarrassment.

3) Look for signs of hardcore porn on his computer?

Yes, porn. How can it be related with ED? This topic has been becoming increasingly popular in the Edguider Forum and many younger men are experiencing it. Men, who are addicted to porn, start to develop a mental cycle that can only get aroused when watching porn.

EDGuider Forum: Studies Show that Pornography Isn’t Good for Sex

A huge percentage of men like to watch porn, this also does not mean he isn’t attracted to you anymore, but he just wants to see something different to refresh his sexual desire. When it is done moderately there are not many concerns. However, the internet has gotten faster, porn has been getting more hardcore and men can basically find anything their lust takes them to on a broadband connection. If he starts masturbating in front of the PC on a daily bases, then he is training his brain to only be aroused when he watches that certain porn fetish he likes.

The good news about Porn related ED is that it can be reversed, we have several articles on this topic, and here are a few of our most recent ones:

EDGuider Blog: Can Watching to Much Porn Give you Erectile Dysfunction?

EDGuider Article: Can Porn Lead to Erectile Dysfunction?

These are not the only ways of identifying erectile dysfunction in men. We could add a few more to this list. If you have some specific questions or just want to get some more information, why not ask in a place that is filled with men how know ED and know how to handle it. Join the discussion over at the Edguider forum, girls are usually not allowed, but there are exceptions.

How Do Inflatable Penile Prosthesis Implants work?

An inflatable penile prosthesis is one of the many options men can choose from to treat their erectile dysfunction. The Prosthesis is an actual mechanical device inserted into the penis. Considered the last resort men turn to when all else fails, such as vacuum pumps, injection therapy such as caverject and prescription meds like Viagra. These devices can only be implanted in the penis’s erection chambers through surgery and there are a few different types of prosthesis.

These penis implants are mostly used when a mans impotence problems are caused due to a medical condition and not to other types of erectile dysfunction such as Psychological. When there are no treatment options and the problem is not likely to improve, implants are best alternative and almost 90% effective in men.

Edguider Forum: Discuss Penile Implants with other men

How noticeable is a Penile Implant?

The only visible mark that you will see is a small scar underneath your penis that goes from the bottom of the penis to the scrotum. It is highly unlikely that a sexual partner will notice you have one implanted, unless they look in detail under your penis.

Are they effective and what is the success rate?

According to several surveys, the prosthesis’s have a success rate ranging from 90 – 95% and can produce stiff firm erections. Some men complain about the length of the penis with an implant, claiming that before, erection size was longer. However, there are new devices that address this issue by extending the erections length, size and overall stiffness.

Video demonstrating how it works and the procedure:

Are these implants safe? What are the Cons?

Like all surgeries procedures, there is no guarantee that complications will not occur. Some problems reported after the surgery include:

Formation of scar tissue
Mechanical failure
Uncontrolled bleeding after the procedure

Read a complete list at WebMd

The only negative side of penile implants, is the possibility of getting an erection naturally, without the device. Once a man decides to get this procedure done there is no turning back. Most men who have had the implants taken out, are never able to achieve an erection again and depend on this device.

1) Bendable (Malleable) Prosthesis

The first type is the bendable prosthesis, which might not be the best solution for those men who want complete control on when you need an erection and when you want it to completely go away. The downfall with the bendable option is the pair of metal rods that are implanted in the penis. The penis is always semi-rigid and all that needs to be done is adjust the metal rod and position it in order to have sex. Once finished the rod can be bent back into a flaccid state, but the penis still stays semi-rigid, making it hard to keep hidden.

2) Hydraulic Inflatable Prosthesis

The most common ones are the inflatable hydraulic prosthesis. This let’s you choose when you want an erection and when you want it to go completely flaccid again. It is the most natural prosthesis available and widely selected by men.

It has two built in cylinders, a pump and a reservoir that are all surgically put in the penis. The cylinders are placed inside the penis, both connected with tubing to the reservoir. The reservoir actually goes below the groin and the pump is placed right between the testicles. All that needs to be done to get it all started is pressing the pump. This will pass fluid from the reservoir to the cylinders, inflating them and producing an erection.

Once you are ready to stop and want to reverse the erection, there is a button at the bottom of the pump that will release the liquid and the penis will go back to hanging loosely.

Is there a link Between Porn Viewing and Erectile Dysfunction?

This is a question we have heard many times over lately. If you are a new reader and have never been to our website Edguider.com before, then let us start by saying Porn is not or niche. EDG focuses on helping men find a proper treatment for erectile dysfunction. But wait what about porn and ED?

Over the past year we have been seeing an increasing amount of searchers in our logs, one of the most common questions men are searching for is: “Can watching to much porn give you Erectile Dysfunction”. Although there has been little research or studies done on Porn and ED, many are convinced that being addicted to porn can affect your erections when it comes down to the real thing. What we mean by this is you can only get erections by watching porn. If you want to have casual sex, sleep with your partner or wife can cause your erections not be function as they do with porn.

ARTICLE: Computer + Internet Porn = Erectile Dysfunction

The more porn you watch the worse it can get, you are unknowingly training your brain to only get aroused around images you like to see while watching porn, be it hardcore, fetish, lesbian etc… Whatever you want to see is available just a few clicks away. This is the wrong way to approach masturbation and sex. The good news is there is a way to reverse porn induced erectile dysfunction, which we will discuss at the end of this article.

Real life stories of porn and ED

Here is an interesting e-mail we received from an anonymous reader who discusses his problem with porn:

Anonymous wrote:

“I have been watching porn online ever since I can remember. I believe I was 15 when I started masturbating in front of the computer for at least 2 hours a day, 1- 3 times each day. I have no problems getting hard when I watch my favorite types of fetishes, which was anal sex.

I started noticing having difficulty getting erections when I met my first girlfriend. I was 20 and already had 5 years of porn viewing under my belt. At first I thought I was too nervous and could not believe I couldn’t get it up around her, she was very hot and I was attracted to here. I ended up having to buy Viagra to fix this issue and was then able to get erections no problem, but the pills started wearing off a few months down the road and I was exactly where I started.

I now had a girlfriend who demanded sex at least 3 times a week and was still watching porn because I needed to get my fetishes fix. It felt like a vicious circle, I loved my girlfriend, but could not stop watching porn and this caused me to not get erections. I tried stopping porn and was able to last 4 weeks. I totally noticed the difference and was able to get hard again by just seeing her panties or even thinking about sex. But I broke down one day and watched porn again, arggg, back to square one?

I need to find some way to stop this and am hoping for suggestions or opinions on how to wean myself away from this dilemma”

Desensitizing the brain by watching porn.

Some researchers have stressed that porn is just a masturbation aid and has been around for decades. We agree on that, but in the past there were only magazines such as playboy which is considered soft-core porn. The internet has not been around for this long and now that men can watch streaming video, any fantasy is just a few clicks away. Men are constantly browsing the web looking from harder and more extreme types of porn, something they have not seen before. Each time they are doing this they are causing brain chemistry desensitization, to the point where they have developed a dependency on porn and without it they cannot get aroused and therefore no erections.

Read More on Internet Porn and Find Out How Much Is Too Much?

Unlike several types of erectile dysfunction that are not reversible, porn induced ED can be. For men who have diabetes, erectile dysfunction is a condition that will need to be treated with meds. Those who have ED because of excessive porn viewing HAVE TO QUIT WATCHING PORN! We have read e-mails of some men who were able to balance both, watching a little bit of porn and still being able to get erections. However, in most cases the only way out is to STOP WATCNING PORN for at least 3 months, then check to see if things have improved and take it from there.

Once you stop watching porn you can get your erections back.

Here is an e-mail we received from a man who was able to get his erections back by slowly reversing what he had done. Very interesting testimonial, he actually did everything backwards, by going from Extreme porn, back to hardcore, then to soft core and then NONE:

Anonymous wrote:

I am probably one of the biggest porn addicts online. I started at the age of 16 and am now 29. I have been a virgin for the most of my twenties and practically never had sex, except with a prostitute at the age on 24, but this was only possible with the help of a cialis pill I had.

I want to share my story of how I got severe ED by only watching porn. Hopefully my story can inspire others to follow my tracks.

I started by checking out nude playboy pics online, through the yahoo images search (turning off the safe search feature). This went on for a few weeks until I discover several free hardcore porn sites (did not have a credit card at 17 LOL, free was the only way). Once I was at hardcore, playboy was a joke and I needed something more extreme. I spent at least 3 years on one particular site which updated its movie clips daily, so I always got something fresh, but that got old fast.

After time flew by I went on the search for something I had never seen before, I am not going to mention it but if you do enough research you will find whatever sexual fantasy you have, on the internet. It gets to the point where you run out of places to look. By the time I was 27 I was masturbating 3 times a day and had no social life with girls what so ever. If I saw an Asian girl at the mall or wherever, I just got home and starting looking at Asian porn, problem solved right? Wrong!

To my surprise I met a great girl at friend’s graduation and she actually asked me out. To make a long story short, we fell in love and dated for 2 months until we finally tried to get intimate. I was not expecting to get erection trouble when she stripped for me, but I was as soft as can be! This went on happing at least 3 times and I was still watching porn during all of this. After doing my research, I came to the conclusion it was the porn. I do not have much will power but was willing to do anything to keep this girl. She was at the point of breaking up with me, so I had to act fast.

I grabbed my balls and started reversing what I had done. For a whole week I first started on the initial hardcore site I used years ago, which was extreme but not as others I use to visit. I then gradually scaled back done to playboy, where I was able to get erections again no problem, after the week was over I decided, that’s it, no more porn for me. It was hard and I almost budged a few times but I was able to go for 7 more weeks with NO porn.

It did work just as I had planned, I was able to get an erection when my girl and I started making out, and the rest came naturally. I was no longer dependant on porn and am still porn free.

If you want my honest advice, then step back from porn or it will ruin your chances of ever starting a family or being intimate with girls. Gradually roll back what you have put your mine through and get back to those erections you use to get when you saw a girls thong or even a boob.

It takes time, but give your self at least 2 months and you will notice the difference.”

If you believe you need some help or tips on how to start the process of stopping porn, there are allot of sites that offer this help. The Sexual Recovery Institute has great information that can get you on the right path. It even lists a few steps to get you started right away. One of our favorite tips is, putting up a photo of your loved ones next to your PC.

Kegel Exercises to Strengthen Men’s Pelvic Muscles
We all need to exercise to maintain a healthy life style. However one group of muscles is often over looked in our daily routine. And these exercises can be done absolutely anywhere or anytime while you are awake. This group of muscles is your pelvis muscles, and the method of exercise is called Kegel.

Your pelvic muscles help support your pelvic organs. These muscles are between your pelvic bones, or your hip bones. These muscles help hold your bladder and rectum; these are where your urine and feces is held. These muscles can become weak if not exercised, or if you’re overweight, or have had prostate surgery. But one of the biggest culprits is age. When these muscles become weak, you can have trouble holding your urine, or your bowel movements. The most common problem with weak pelvic muscles are when you strain from work or weight lifting, or coughing and sneezing, which can let out a little urine.

Check out our article on the Super Kegel Exercise tool which helps in doing kegels correctly

The other thing that having strong pelvic muscles helps with is erections and orgasms. When training these muscles with the Kegel exercise technique, you will feel all the muscles from your anus to the tip of your penis flex. With an erection, you can actually make your erection harder by flexing it like you do in the Kegel exercise. Then when you orgasm, all those muscles you have strengthened will explode causing a very powerful orgasm.

Kegel Exercises Can Help Men With Erectile Dysfunction
It has been reported by many men that these exercises help men with ED (erectile dysfunction) too, which allows them to depend lees on medications like Viagra, Cialis or Levitra. ED is often caused by lack of blood flow to the genital region. Exercising any muscle increases blood flow to the muscle being exercised, so you will increase blood flow to this region which may help many of you out there. How about that for an incentive to do these Kegel exercises! And remember, these can be done anywhere, anytime.

Some men may find it difficult to pinpoint these muscles at first. The best way to actually figure out which ones are correct is by sitting on or standing in front of the toilet to urinate, while urinating, stop the flow several times to feel which muscles they are. Also, tighten your anus like you are trying to stop a bowel movement. You can insert the tip of your finger into your anus while lying down to feel it tighten around your finger to make sure you have it right.

Once you have found the right muscles, only do it while not going to the bathroom. These preliminary tests should be done first as many men end up using their abdominal, back, or leg muscles. This is incorrect and will not benefit you at all.

There are two steps in the Kegel exercises, slow and quick contractions. These exercises can be done while you are sitting, standing, or lying down, and in the bath. So really, they can be done at any waking moment. Imagine, sitting at work and exercising. Motorcyclist’s can do them riding as well. Some men have said it helps from getting a sore butt. Make sure you don’t have to urinate before starting.

Watch a Video on How to Do Kegels

Now remember, like any exercise, it may not be easy at first, and you only may feel the anus tighten but nothing else. Keep working them, it will come along.

First, start with the slow contractions.
Contract you anus muscles (butt hole) as if you’re holding back gas, and also urine (this may take practice going from the anus to the penis) and hold it for ten seconds. Slowly release the muscles, when you start getting good, release from the penis first and work opposite on the contraction. Repeat the cycle 10 times. Once this becomes easy, double it, and so on.

Once you have completed the slow contractions, now do 5 to 10 quick and strong ones. Again, practice makes perfect. Remember to keep your back, abdominal, and leg muscles relaxed. Many men may not be able to keep the contraction for 10 seconds, so do what you can. You will notice a small difference within days.

Try to do these exercises regularly
3 times a day if you can. Remember, you can do them almost anywhere. So set an alarm, your iPhone or smart phone can remind you, so can your computer you are working on can be set to remind you. Keep a diary, anything, just try and remember to do them. There should be no excuses not to do them. I’m doing them writing you this article.

To notice a significant difference to your muscles for bladder control can take 3 to six months, but may improve in as less than 4-6 weeks. Once you learned how to contract those muscles doing the Kegel exercise, remember to do them while coughing or sneezing, as this will prevent leakage earlier on until the muscles are strong enough to do it on their own.

You can also talk with your care giver or physical therapist to make sure you are doing it right if you are still unsure. They may have a biofeedback device that uses sensors placed on your abdomen and rectal area to measure if you are using the right muscles. It can also measure your strength. Go back 3 months later and have the test again to measure your improvement.

There is also an electrical stimulation machine that can send an electrical pulse or current to contract the muscles for you. This is usually not required as the exercise on your own is so simple, that having the machine hooked up is actually more work and time consuming, so do it on your own if at all possible.

Can Stress Be a Plus For Some in Bed?

Stress seems to be a regular part of our lives these days. Even before the economic collapse, which certainly didn’t help any, money (or the lack of it) seemed to be at the top of the list of major stressors. Instead of lying back and thinking of your upcoming weekend, we are worried about how to pay down our maxed out credit cards, or pay our next mortgage payment, or sometimes even how to pay for your next bag of groceries. Now bring on the economic collapse and our stress levels have increased dramatically.

In most cases the first thing that is affected by high stress is the libido. However, that’s MOST cases. In a few men out there, this high stress seems to trigger the opposite; they become more aroused by a greater variety of women. Actually, the Kinsey Institute found that 21% of men are affected in this opposite way. Sex has in fact been scientifically proven to decrease stress which may reflect these results.

This unfortunately is not so for the libido in women. Stress definitely has a detrimental affect on women and their desires. Stress tends to be more of a mental state for women, but this 21% of men seems to react in a physical way.

The Kinsey report is actually backed up by a new study by the University of Trier in Germany. They suggest that some men react to this “cocktail of hormones” in a similar way that the Kinsey study found. They also note that stress hormones give men a blast response to threat, which is meant to help them get out of trouble. It would seem this short blast also affects the libido in some.

The director of the Berman Center for Women’s Health in Chicago, Laura Berman, has carried out research that shows couples that are more affectionate and cuddly tend to respond less harshly to the vigor’s of stress, up to 8 times less likely in fact. That is a lot less tension and depression.

Back in 2008, researchers in Switzerland did a six day study on over 50 couples. They supplied these couples with pocket computers to help analyze the data they were asked to record. They recorded their emotional state and even took saliva samples every three hours (not while sleeping) to test for cortisol levels. Cortisol is the principal steroid hormone produced by the adrenal cortex. It regulates carbohydrate metabolism and the immune system and maintains blood pressure. The results showed decreased cortisol levels in couples that had more sexual intimacy, which decreased cortisol responses when faced with stressful dilemmas.

In a simpler explanation, it’s easier to deal with stress when you are in a healthy sexual relationship than when you are not. Stress will have a greater affect on those people or couples with out the healthy sexual relationship.

How Does the affect your performance in the bedroom? With men, stress tends to affect their impotence temporarily. When affected with a stressful situation, the body actually prepares itself for fight or flight. This physical response will concentrate blood flow to the heart and muscles and actually restrict blow flow to the arteries that supply blood to the penis. This obviously will result in a man not being able to obtain an erection.

This also effects the production of testosterone therefore impeding sexual desire. Since men have an abundance of testosterone compared to women, once the stressor is removed, all these adverse affects tend to work themselves out quickly.

For many women, this has a completely different affect. It affects them more emotionally then physically. When the stress affects hormone levels in women, there is no abundance of testosterone. So their desires drop dramatically more than men, her erotic focus drops and then is less likely to lubricate, and is then less likely to orgasm.

Then it can trigger a performance anxiety, which creates fear, which creates more anxiety. It becomes a somewhat vicious circle that is harder to recover from, even when the stressor is removed.

Yes, there are things you can start doing as of today to help get your Erectile Dysfunction under control. A collection of health improvements you can make right now with minimal sweat required, well some sweat but not much. Remember there are several ways men can get ED and to name a few of them there is, anxiety issues, blood pressure conditions, psychological problems and more. To know the exact cause of ED only your Doctor can confirm and treat it but these tips can give you a head start on improving your erections.

Try eating less fatty foods.
You might have thought that this only helps you loose weight but changing your diet and eliminating allot of fatty foods, including cheeseburgers and cokes can help get you in better shape erection wise. Instead of ordering a big mac try something different for a few weeks like some fish, rice and veggies. We have gotten a few e-mails from guys saying that dieting has giving them harder erections in the morning.

Get your Kegels on ASAP
We cannot stress this enough but kegel exercises are great for men who have both premature ejaculation issues and Erectile Dysfunction. You can do these 10 minutes every day in your living room or before going to bed and while you are doing them you are strengthening your pelvic muscles giving yourself more control of ejaculations and your erections.

Check out our recent post on Kegel exercises

Eat watermelons and drink Pomegranate Juice
Check out some of our posts on Watermelons and Pomegranate Juice. believe it our not we have received several testimonials on guys who say that they are getting more spontaneous erections after eating watermelons. They are natures libido enhancer and some men have said it can produce very similar effects to Viagra. Try eating as much as you can for a few days along with some Pomegranate Juice and see if you can get some positive responses. It would be best to get some fresh Pomegranates from your local supermarket and blend it with water so you are getting 100% fresh Pomegranate Juice and not something concentrated loaded with sugar.

Learn more about Pomegranate Juice and ED at EmaxHealth

There are more ways to help ED but it is always recommended talking to your doctor about this. Ask him about treatment options and based on your medical history he can recommend the right treatment.

Doing a search for “kegels” on this blog will give you a few good results, that’s because doing kegel exercises are very good for men and can improve their erections by strengthening the pelvic muscles. There are several ways to do Kegel exercises but today we are going to mention a tool we came across called the Super Kegel Exerciser and it helps you do kegel exercises correctly and efficiently. Do keep in mind that kegels are good for men and women, so you might want to let your wife in on this.

Let’s get some questions out of the way:

1) First what exactly are Kegel Exercises?
They were named after a doctor, Arnold Kegel and they consist of exercising the pelvic muscles to improve the strength in this area. For men it is very beneficial in terms of Erectile Dysfunction, by doing these exercises you are also relaxing the pelvic area and this may allow more blood to flow through. women can also benefit from it, more so pregnant women.

Check out kegels on wikipedia

2) What else can kegels do for men?
By strengthening your pelvic muscle you can also improve the control over your ejaculations. Yep, for all you guys out there that ejaculate a little to soon, doing these exercises could benefit you and help you control when it is time to let go. Be consistent and do a quick search on you tube where you will find several videos posted on how to do them. Here are a few more benefits kegels give:

Helps improve the bladder control

Can also relieve several back pain issues

Can improve your sexual functions

Strengthens all the muscles in your general pelvic area

3) So what is this Super Kegel Exerciser we are talking about?
It is a small tool that can help you do the kegel exercises correctly and can assist you in toning you pelvic area. Using it is also simple, all you have to do is place it between your thighs and position it to your comfort level. Their website does not provide allot of good information but when you order it you will also get a small book that explains how to use it step by step. You can get it at Verseo.com and it costs just under 30 bucks.

If you use to work out in the past and lifted a little extra than you were suppose to you might of obtained a back injury. Regardless, any type of back injury, whether it be muscle spasms, tailbone pain, low back pain or upper back pains it could be leading you in the path of impotence. The best way to determine back pain is to have yourself checked out by your Chiropractor and he can relate if your ED is linked to back problems.

How can Impotence be related to Back pain?
You have thousands of nerves in your back and if they do not function correctly then you do not get accurate blood flow to your penis. We have seen several posts in our forums about guys who mention they recently had a massage and felt increased erections during the rest of the day. Visiting a Chiropractor might be a good idea and it can benefit men in 2 ways, adjusting and relaxing the nerves in your back and improving your erections without the need of medications such as Levitra or Cialis.

What does a Chiropractor do and how would he know about ED?
There is a great video on Youtube about a Chiropractor in Austin. He puts together a great ten minute video for both men and women talking about how they can benefit from an adjustment from their Chiropractor for improving their sexual lifestyle. Wait, women to? Yes, if you watch the video below you will see he mentions that an adjustments can also help women with several issues such as lubrication. For men it is beneficial for blood flow and toning down the nerves and releasing pressure of them in order for them to function properly. If you have ten minutes check out the video below:

I do not have a Chiropractor how do I find one?
Spine Universe is a great place to start, it is a huge portal dedicated to back pain and is filled with articles on different types of upper, lower and all sorts of issues concerning your back. You might get lost trying to find the right link to their directory of Chiropractors listed so we search the site and put it at your disposal below:

Click here to search for a chiropractor in your area

This along with a good diet and some daily exercise can realy help your Impotence and erectile dysfunction with the need of medication such as Viagra, Levitra or others. remember to check out some of our posts on what foods are good for ED.

“Hey guys, have a question for you. I am 29 years old and have always been very sexual active with girlfriends I have had in the past. For the past 6 months I have been single and have not gone out with to many girls, so what do I do for sex? Well nothing I have become addicted to porn and now I think it gave me erectile dysfunction. I masturbated at least 2 times a day to porn for at least 4 months and thought nothing could happen. But 2 weeks ago I met a woman and we are starting to get into a heavy relationship? We attempted to have sex for the first time 3 days ago but I could not get it up?

This is terrible and has never happened to me before? Why can I not get it up? Did the porn affect my erections, do I need to buy Viagra in order to achieve erections again? I had to make up some lame excuse saying that I did not want to ruin what we had with sex and for her to wait! LAMOOOO! I could not get it up? She is very hot too and I am not a bad looking guy? I have masturbated to uglier looking girls online (went through my fair share of fat girl porn LOL). Before this girl I had others and we have been in relationships for years but never had this problem with them. Is it possible because of to much porn that my libido is weak? I cut out all the porn for weeks now and still have the same problem. I really like this girl and do not want to breakup with her and need to satisfy her. I want to try anything before I go see the doctor for Viagra?”

The guys at EDG came to the conclusion that watching to much porn can train the mind in the wrong way, confuse it as to what sex is really suppose to be like which can create fear and anxiety when trying to have sex in real life. Allot of this has to do with performance anxiety and emotional erectile dysfunction. Breaking the mentality of porn and working with your partner might be the best bet. We would like to hear any comments you guys have on this issue? Has anyone experienced this before? Please leave comments:

Yes this may sound funny but read this before you take judgment, you might be surprised. We received an e-mail from an anonymous man who wanted to let other men know his experience with erectile dysfunction and watermelons, here it is:

I use to take Viagra at least once or twice a month (I could not afford it every day) and every time I took it I felt like having sex every hour because I knew that after 5 or 6 hours I was not going to be able to anymore. Things started getting tough when my wife hinted at sex and I always said “I feel sick” or “I am tired“! The fact was I could not get it up but was not man enough to tell her. Yes, Viagra works wonders for me but I do not want to depend on it! It is very expensive and if I were to take Viagra a few times a week to keep my wife satisfied it would cost me over $300 a month! OUCH!!!!!

I let time go by and dodged my wife for months, until a few weeks ago when I read a news article about watermelons increasing blood flow to the penis and it having positive results on erectile dysfunction. The next day I went on the hunt for watermelon and bought a whole one. I did not believe it would help my ED (which is not sever or mild but moderate) but what the heck I gave it a try. Gentlemen, please believe me when I say this GO BUY SOME WATERMELON and give it a try. It will not give you a hard on right away and does not help as much as Viagra Cialis or even Levitra does but my gosh does it give you a little boost. You have to work on it but after eating about one quarter of the whole watermelon I felt my buddy getting erect on his own again (after a few hours), I could not believe it, usually it takes allot of time and effort but not this time, I got hard ASAP and stayed hard for as log as I wanted! I got the best BJ from my wife and did not need to spend money on Viagra.

To conclude I just wanted to express my results and hope some guys take a hint and try this, you have nothing to loose and if it does not work, try something else but if it worked for me I am sure it might work for you as well.
