How do I know if my Husband has Erectile Dysfunction, is he cheating on me?
Is my Husband cheating on me or does He Have Erectile Dysfunction?
Since 2007 Edguider has been blogging about everything to do with erectile dysfunction and its treatment options. We have written endless articles and blog posts about ways men can treat impotence naturally and physically. Although we never address women in our posts, we thought it might be a good idea to give them some insight into how ED affects men and how they can help. The last time we wrote about how women can tell if their men have ED was back in 2009, let’s update that post and give some more insight.

The main problem that men have when it comes to ED is facing the problem, even worse, talking about it. This is a very sensitive topic that most men prefer to keep to themselves; this is why most of them do nothing until they figure out how to handle it.
Many women tend to jump to conclusions. Some common questions they ask themselves are:
1) Is my husband cheating on me?
2) Does he not find me attractive anymore?
3) Did he loose his sex drive?
If a man has ED, then all of the answers to these questions are NO! It is not that he doesn’t find you attractive or that he is cheating on you, but men just do not want to let their wives or partners down and make them feel as if they were the problem. Initially ED is hard to cope with, this is why men should contact their doctor right away and find some sort of a treatment plan.
Talking to someone, whether it’s their doctor or a friend is another problem. Men do not like to talk to other men or women about erectile dysfunction, this is why it is important for their wives to indentify it and support him. If you have confirmed that he has ED, then find a way of talking to them about it. Let him know you understand and you support him in finding a way to fix this.
How can Erectile Dysfunction be treated?
ED can be treated in many different ways; hormone treatment, injection therapy (severe cases) and medications like Cialis or Viagra are all great options. There are even certain exercise programs and natural alternatives that can treat light cases of Impotence. Sexual therapy is also becoming a popular way of eliminating Impotence as well. You can read up on a few popular treatments listed on our site here:

But how do I notice if my man has ED?
There are certain signs women can look for to find out if he is having erection problems or if he is simply cheating on you. Let’s orientate this post more towards finding out if he has ED and not cheating, we might leave that one for another blog post.
There are several things to check for, some common reactions and the way he is acting, can give him away if you know what to look out for:
1) Check to see if he has been avoiding sexual contact.
If you hint sex and he changes the subject, this does not have to mean he does not find you attractive. But that he can’t do it. Allot has to do with EGO and pride. If he has ED then a huge dent is put in that EGO, he will then try to avoid sex until he can fix his problem.
2) While watching TV, does he avoid sex scenes or go to the bathroom?
This one is a great sign that something is wrong. X-rated scenes in movies can cause sexual tension if you are alone with your partner. If a man is trying to avoid sex, he will find some way to walk away from a scene that involves it. He knows that if you initiate something, he will have to turn you down and he is trying to save himself the embarrassment.
3) Look for signs of hardcore porn on his computer?

Yes, porn. How can it be related with ED? This topic has been becoming increasingly popular in the Edguider Forum and many younger men are experiencing it. Men, who are addicted to porn, start to develop a mental cycle that can only get aroused when watching porn.

A huge percentage of men like to watch porn, this also does not mean he isn’t attracted to you anymore, but he just wants to see something different to refresh his sexual desire. When it is done moderately there are not many concerns. However, the internet has gotten faster, porn has been getting more hardcore and men can basically find anything their lust takes them to on a broadband connection. If he starts masturbating in front of the PC on a daily bases, then he is training his brain to only be aroused when he watches that certain porn fetish he likes.
The good news about Porn related ED is that it can be reversed, we have several articles on this topic, and here are a few of our most recent ones:

These are not the only ways of identifying erectile dysfunction in men. We could add a few more to this list. If you have some specific questions or just want to get some more information, why not ask in a place that is filled with men how know ED and know how to handle it. Join the discussion over at the Edguider forum, girls are usually not allowed, but there are exceptions.
