After 8 years Pfizer gives up on Women

This article we found on the NYtime is 5 years old but still interesting:

One of the biggest pharmaceutical companies in the World Pfizer gave up on trying to make Viagra work for the ladies. They have been working on it for more than 8 years and have tested it on thousands of women with little results. So why did they stop? The main reason is that men and women have different ways of achieving sexual arousal, men are able to get aroused when they get an erection and therefore compete sexual acts but women are different when it comes to desire and arousal.

What did happen when women took viagra?
It caused signs of arousal but there is still the need of a woman’s desire to get into the mood which Viagra cannot accomplish for them. Most guys get an erection when they see a naked woman or something sexual, maybe even seeing a girls panties for example but for women it is much more complex and their sexual desire depends on several more factors. There is no doubt that there is allot of money to be made in the female sexual dysfunction department and Pfizer giving up on this shows that it might not be possible. So many solutions for men out there but women seem to be more difficult to figure out when it comes to sexual desire, let’s hope some day a medical breakthrough happens like the one in 1998 for men.
