Canadian Town might request sponsorship from Viagra and Cialis
Last week a Canadian council based in Toronto, voted in favor of asking two major drug companies, Pfizer and Eli Lilly to take some financial burden off their shoulders and help finance a 125 meter flagpole that will wave a Canadian flag the size of a football field in the area.
This will be the biggest flagpole in the entire continent, put up near Emery Village Canada. However, the cost of this has exceeded their expectations. The city council needs to buy over 2 hectares of land that will then become city property. The initial proposal for creating this flag pole was at 3.5 million Canadian dollars, now the city is looking at 9 to 10 million.
Quote “Councillor Howard Moscoe” “The makers of Viagra would jump at the chance to sponsor this flagpole” Emery Village is not happy The small amounts of citizens in the town are not all 100% happy about the new flagpole that is going up. The town’s council received 86 signatures from people claiming they do not want to pay for this project, it should not be funded using the towns taxpayer dollars. Mike Williams, the town’s economic manager, says this project will not cost taxpayers one cent. He is trying to negotiate with the owner of the land, which eats up most of the expense, for a leasing agreement.
Funds need to be there before approval The city needs to get repaid and if financial aid comes from other means that does not involve the taxpayer dollars, then approval will be granted, but the funds have to be secured before hand. Currently the council has officially approved that Emery Village, can request financial help from the major drug companies that make Viagra and Cialis. The goal will be to seek corporate sponsorship and this can be a win-win for Viagra, Cialis and Emery Village. It is still unclear if the pharmaceutical companies will agree to sponsor the pole. It can lead to many successful marketing campaigns for them, but who knows if they will request a logo or picture of their ED medications somewhere on the pole?
